Magicka

NEW ATTRIBUTES

Magicka (MA)
    10 points/level
Magicka measures general magical competence. Everyone starts with a Magicka score of 10. All rolls related to casting spells are based on your Magicka score.

Magicka Points (MP)
    3 points/level
Magicka Points are used to cast spells. Base score is equal to Magicka/2, rounded down. You can increase Magicka Points, up to a total of twice your Magicka score.

NEW SKILLS

Spell Colleges (VH)
Spells are organized into six colleges. Each college is a separate Very Hard skill. Spells are cast using the college skill, at penalties depending on the individual spell. The colleges are as follows:
  • Alteration
  • Conjuration
  • Destruction
  • Illusion
  • Mysticism
  • Restoration

Spell Levels
Some spells can only be cast if you meet a certain prerequisite college skill level:
  • Novice: Minimum 1 point in college skill.
  • Apprentice: Minimum college skill 10.
  • Journeyman: Minimum college skill 15.
  • Expert: Minimum college skill 20.
  • Master: Minimum college skill 25.
