It is a rough morning following the celebration. Between the late night of revelries and the seemingly endless wine it is no surprise that many slept quite late and had a hard time being roused.
As the party recoups and gathers in the common room of the Rusty Dragon the atmosphere seems quite different. Ameiko isn't present behind the bar and while the fire has been lit there isn't the smell of delicious foods being prepared for breakfast or lunch.
All the customers are looking around in confusion as the staff themselves seem unsure what to do. Finally the party is approached by an elderly halfling woman, Bethana. She is one of the maids at the Rusty Dragon. In a whisper she asks to speak to them privately and motions for the group to follow her behind the bar to the back room.
Once there her stoic facade falls away and deep lines of worry crease her brow.
"When I woke this morning Ameiko hadn't started breakfast. That's the first time I can remember in a long time that she hasn't been ready in the morning. I thought maybe she had just celebrated too hard last night and was sleeping in but when I entered her room she wasn't there. Her bed didn't even look like it had been slept in. I don't even know if she ever returned from last night.
I poked around a bit. I know I shouldn't but I was concerned and I found this."
