Talitha wraps the other end around her waist and gives the loose end to Razyll. "Two better than one. You pull behind me."
He holds the rope with both hands while Arialis descends to the pit.

"You.." Razyll points to Tristen

"Get in here to help (aid other) it's your sword that the Violet Knight of Kyonin is risking her precious hide to retrieve." Razyll said as he grips the rope and prepares to lower Arialis into the hole.

"Kaddock, be at the ready with your bow. I don't want any more surprises from this place while we are engaged in this little rescue mission."

Tristen got off his knees. He had just completed his prayers asking for Abadar's boon. "I just finished." Tristen moved closer to the others and saw their efforts. "I'll lend a hand with the rope. Thank you for retrieving my sword."

"Careful, just say the word if you notice anything strange and need us to stop lowering you." Razyll said as they began to lower Arialis. His eyebrows furrowed at the weight of the warrior and he wondered, absently, if perhaps her bones were hollow.

[1.06] The Catacombs of Wrath

The party ties Arialis to the rope and begin lowering her down into the zombie pit. The air is even mustier and the smell of ancient death is much stronger but at least it is long past rot and foul gasses. It feels more like a descent into an ancient crypt which, perhaps, was a better analogy. The body of the zombie lies crumpled at the bottom of the pit and it had been thoroughly blasted apart by the spells of her companions and yet it seemed like her mind continued to scream caution at her. The shadows from the flickering torch lights above made the body seemed to twitch and move in her peripheral vision and if something bad did happen perhaps this pit would become her tomb as well.

Finally her feet touch the ground at the bottom and wasting no time she kicks the body off the corpse and grabs Tristan's fallen sword. Now came the hardest part: lifting her back up again. Going down was easy, going up was far harder than anyone could imagine lifting a slight elven warrior like Arialis could be but without any pulley or outcropping for leverage the party required nothing but raw brute strength without any mechanical advantages. Still she didn't weigh that much and the party had enough people and enough muscle to lift Arialis back up over the ledge.

With the fallen sword retrieved the only thing that remained was the decision of whether to keep exploring the dungeon, and if so, which way to go next...

Razylled help onto the rope until the elven warrior had found her footing. "You okay?" Razyll said as he looked over Arialis as he twisted the rope around his hand and elbow preparing it to be stored once again on the side of his backpack.

Talitha helps lifting Arialis climb back. Once she's with them, the fighter puts her type back in her backpack and tells Tristan with a funny tone. "Next time be more careful where you throw your weapons That pit smelled like shit from up here, so I can't imagine how it was for poor Arialis..."
She smiles and gets ready to continue. "Which way next? Any suggestion?"

Razyll nodded in agreement. "But we could rest to recover some of our strength" Razyll said in return to Talitha somewhat more comforted by her increasing confidence.

"Although I would be loath to rest in a place such as this." Razyll said as his eyes scanned the room.

Talitha nods. "We could rest somewhere here for a while I guess. I could get some additional healing and you could recover some of your magical power."
She looks around, considering the tactical position of this very same room to rest or going back to the big room the went through earlier.

Group 0 map still has doors A and B to check.
Anyone have a preference for a room for us to use when we rest?

OOC: Although distasteful, would our characters think that they could secure the doors of our current room and make it 'safe' enough for a rest DM?

For resting there were quite a few options. The chapel they fought the demon in over the swirling magical pool had a single entrance secured by a double door. One could spike it easily enough if they didn't mind resting in the chapel to an ancient dark god and a swirling magical pool next to them.

The torture room likewise had only a single entrance that could be secured however it also had a chilling atmosphere due to the deadly instruments contained.

The current room was a poor choice as it was wide open and to the south was a long hallway, not a door.

Another option was to go all the way back to Sandpoint, either resting in the glassworks or from there just going to an inn. The upside to this would be they can finally rid themselves of Tsuto as well. The downside is that journey would likely take a considerable amount of time, at least an hour there and back again so if anything was still lurking around in the dungeon who knows what they could get up to while they were gone.

OOC: Thanks, Dungeon Master! Hey fam, I am thinking of resting in the chapel of the dark god. What is the worst that could happen? xD

Just kidding, just kidding (about the, "What is the worst that could happen" bit).

Talitha will suggest using the torture room to rest. It is a creepy place to rest, but defensievly seems to be the best place in the last few rooms. And if they use some of the old stuff in the room they can even make a small barricade at the entrance with these items.

While it seemed a macabre idea there weren't any objections from the rest of the party. The group barricades themselves in the room, a watch is set to not only guard the door but also keep watch over the prisoner. Thankfully the one perk of camping in a torture chamber was there were plenty of wall chains that could be used to tie up Tsuto. Tsuto of course protested loudly but there wasn't much he could do to stop them and soon he was chained to the wall grumbling to himself.

The night (day? morning? deep underground it was impossible to tell anymore) passes without event. There are no sounds from the hallway, no creatures coming to investigate the fighting or brutal slaying of several guards and whatever the hell that mutated goblin monstrosity was.

<orange>Long rest.

- Recover HP equal to CON mod (min 1) multiplied by Level.
- Losing the fatigued condition
- Reduce severity of doomed conditions by 1
- Spellcasters recover spells

Could Tristen have used the Lay on Hands feature multiple times to heal everybody?
Lay on Hands > Refocus > REPEAT several times.

This doesn't seem right. But I'm just learning PF2

OOCFor a long rest like this, yes you can and I'll adjust everyone to max hitpoints. The idea is twofold:

1) It takes 10 minutes to refocus so even in an 8 hour reset there is a limit to how many times it can be performed and if you were to refocus for a significante amount of your resting as per rules you would end up being fatigued.

2) Your generally have a larger focus pool but you can only recover 1 focus so you will be less able to quickly heal during/after an encounter if you burn through your focus this way.

It's not much of a downside but its enough to think that this is working as intended.

Talitha felt better after the rest, but her wounds still needed treatment and as Tristen did she actually felt much better, with increased strength and confidence to continue through this forsaken dungeon. She takes her sword again and makes sure everybody is ready before moving out of the room.

OOC:
This is not clear to me. what HP do I have now? 3/30, full health or something in between?
