Tristen sheathed his dagger before pulling out his crossbow. He lined up his shot, but Tsuto and Kaddock behind the goblin it was too risky a shot. He moved around the zombie pit and prepared his shot behind Arialis. "Arialis, move to your right. Give me a shot."

Kaddock snaps off three quick shots. Only the first one scores home as the mutant abomination manages to spin out of the way of the other missiles.

Talitha shhots another three arros at the weird goblin. "Can you please die now?!"

While the heroes are recovering and positioning themselves for another attempt at the goblin, Kaddock fires off a dead eye shot piercing the goblin through its neck. Already badly injured, the goblin collapses and first one weapon falls from its grasp...then another....and then another.

The zombies continue to mill around at the bottom of their pits. The smell of blood and the noise has made them agitated and the soft moaning from mouths that should have decayed and rotted away long ago rise up in an unholy chorus of noise.

"I am spent guys." Faeli complains as she goes to examine the southern door carefully taking a route which ensures she is far, far away from the zombie pits.

"Careful Faeli." Razyll said as he tightened his bandage and then with his kit and medicines still in hand when to see to Faeli. "Uurgh, I am sorry Faeli. It looks like this is going to take more time and tools than what I have on hand." Razyll said while bandaging the wounds as best as he could.


Razyll rolled 14 using 1d20+8 with rolls of 6.  Battle Medicine Feat (Faeli) DC 15. Just missed the healing benchmark. Sorry no healing for Faeli =(

Tristen lowered his crossbow. "Good job Kaddock!" He moved closer to get a better look at the dead goblin. "My sword fell into one of these pits. I'm going to need help to get it back." He picked up several weapons that fell from the goblin's body. "Interesting. By what foul magic did these... anyone have a clue?" He asked the others.

Talitha looks emacieted after the last battle. She is bleeding from several wounds and hardly standing up. "I need some proper healing if we need to continue this path. I will not be of any help in my current conditions. What shall we do? I suggest Tristen is sword back and we try to find a safe spot and get some healing.... maybe rest for a while?"

Razyll looks over the weapons and while the dagger is a fine item of silver, both the handaxe and the longsword the creature were using have runes etched into their blades. Spending more time to discern the nature of the runes reveals them to be truly magical.

He slings his bow over his shoulder. "I know some rudimentary medicine. I can take a look at your wounds if you'd like." He splits his attention between Talitha and the pit that Tristen lost his sword down.

"I can heal you. Talitha, stand in presence of Abadar's grace." Tristen reached out with his hand and touched Talitha on her forehead. Seconds later, he turned and loaded his crossbow to destroy of each of the zombies.

Will take however much time to destroy each zombie.
Then go down and retrieve his longsword.

"How do we stand on healing magics and implements?" She asked, looking everyone over a moment.

"Also, what items did it have?" She would ask Razyll.

"Give me time. I will seek another boon from Abadar." Tristen moved to a clear area and knelt in prayer.

Refocus for 10 min to regain Lay on Hands.

Faeli and Razyll get to work destroying the undead. While it takes a decent amount of time to destroy each one, there is never any real danger so by the time Tristen has done praying and drawing his inner magic back, the zombies have been destroyed.

Retrieving the sword is a bit more complicated. It is a sheer 20ft drop and there isn't anything nearby to secure a rope to. The sword itself proves too heavy to lift with a simple cantrip. Perhaps when Faeli was a stronger wizard she could perform the feat but for now the sword remains at the bottom of the well.

OOC: FYI just trying to climb the vertical rock wall would be a DC 30 Athletics (climb) check.

Razyll looked over the pit and the length of rope that was available. He gaze then fell on Faeli, who was perhaps the lightest member of the group.

"Faeli, my sweet-how would you feel about us lowering you into a pit that might potentially be trapped?"

He gives Razyll a raised eyebrow look. "Pretty sure the trap was the Zombie at the bottom." He comments dryly.

"Or the trap led to the zombie being, well a Zombie. Chicken or the egg really." Razyll said with a shrug and a smirk.

"Good point. Hey Faeli, don't become zombie Faeli. Okay? If you feel an abnormal desire to eat Razyll's brain, let us know. Alright?" He gives a lopsided grin.

Talitha, getting much better after the last of hands approaches the pit where the weapons are.
"Maybe we could use some rope to help whoever is going down climb back up... Tie it around them and the other end on us so they can be pulled out easily."
She takes out from her backpack 50ft of rope.
"I can go down, if you guys can help lifting me afterwards. Or Faeli can go down and I can help pulling her up by wrapping it around myself. I think that's better... I'm heavier and stronger."

She smiles as she says so.

Btw, I have good athletics, but I can't beat DC 30

Faeli smirked and stuck her tongue out at Razyll.

"Might starve looking for a brain in Razie's head."

Arialis chuckles at the banter between them before finally speaking up. "Other the Faeli I am the lightest of everyone. I'll go down." She said with a gentle nod, then took a hold of the end of the rope tying it around herself. It was obvious that she was not willing to risk her 'small' friend. "Plus, it'd take you longer to lift her out because she's so much shorter. Anyway, let's do this."
