Scene 1/Challenge 1
Scene 1/Challenge 1: The party planning. The nakama have been roped in (some with their eager
agreement, some merely because their friends are excited to be involved and are dragged in) to doing the party planning for the Senior Spring Festival at the school. Its a big 3 day affair and there will be parents and prospective students attending. The student adviser assigned to the group is Harriet Beechum. Shes a tired looking 40 something, but shes dignified and has a lot of experience. Shes able to answer a few questions, but expects the heroines to be able to handle most of what they run into. This is because shes under a lot of pressure with a lot of other tasks, and would be happiest if the girls could just solve the whole festival themselves. (Its a school festival after all)

The school is willing and able to provide a fair bit of resources for the festival, but nothing too extravagant.

00C: If The player decide to haggle with Harriet for more resources, she presents a conflict to them. Again, remind the players to describe the actions they take that each die roll represents. Interrupting or adding onto another player is encouraged. Remind the PCs that they can create/discover aspects on situations and people to give them a bonus to their rolls. You all are a part of the same 'Nakama' or group. All your characters know each other and have bonds with each other. Please introduce your character and posibly Tag Team harriet for the party budget.

Scene 1/Challenge 1
Now that she didn't have to work to keep food on her family's table anymore, Sakura had turned much of her attention to the school, which made it easy to get her into the festival planning.

She took a look at the budget and considered. She reflexively considered asking Harriet for more, but paused and thought again. "I think that if we get the student body involved, this should be enough." Sakura's desire to get extravagant was trumped by her desire to show her organizational skills and her ability to get things done on a limited budget. "What do the rest of you think?"

Not challenging Harriet unless everyone else thinks it's necessary.

Scene 1/Challenge 1
Kitty was in her cheer uniform as she did a back flip off the latter hanging the banner.

The red head flipped her long hair behind her shoulder as she took an elastic band off her wrist and began to fix her ponytail.

"I am not sure I mean they act like half the snobs on the cheer squad. Can we just hire some DJ and workers to do it... I think that would be dynomight."

Scene 1/Challenge 1
Alicia, like usual, had her nose in a book though she was still paying attention to what was going on around her. A point that could be proven easily as she gave Kitty a slightly envious look when she back flipped off the ladder. "I think it'll be enough if we spend it wisely. Although budgeting is still a skill I'm trying to master."

OOC: I don't think we need to challenge her on this. So I'll follow Sakura's lead for now.

Scene 2/Challenge 2
Well this was supposed to be the introductory challenge to introduce you all to the rules and you skipped it. Ah well, on to challenge 2.

Harriet Beechum gives the girls a look of relief. The school has her handling too much already on her full plate. Upon hearing Alica's talk of learning to master a limited budget and the girl's stance not to ask for more she visibly brightens. "Why yes Miss Polnare, that is a skill everyone must learn. Well you ladies seem to have a firm grip on things, I will leave the planning in your care. If you excuse me," Harriet said. She then left to take care of another task.

By agreeing to take the festival duties with a limited budget and not haggle, you did make Harriet's life easier. Everyone gains one Hope token as a reward.

Challenge: Organizing the Festival
Aspects: Too much to do!, school resources
Hits per turn: 1
Number of Hits to KO: 4

Your first real challenge. You each get a turn at describing your action then rolling dice. the 3 of you must score 4 "hits" to complete this challenge. If all 3 of you go and you donn't get 4 hits total, you lose 1 hope token from stress and may try again until you reach 4 total. You may invoke aspects to get bonuses on your rolls.

A number of students approach he trio. Some are from the drama club, some from the basketball team, and one from the school newspaper. The newspaper guy is Toby, he adjusts his camera strap nervously and asks the trio,"I heard your in carge of the festival. What do you want us to do first?"

Scene 1/Challenge 1
We're so naughty. But you did say we had an adequate budget.

Sakura nodded to Kitty as the girl came to a landing. "Don't I know it. But that's why they'll help," she said. "For example, if they don't sign up to bring food to the potluck, we'll provide healthy food instead," she said with a wicked grin. "That should scare them into cooperation. But more seriously, snobbish or not, this is supposed to be a school festival, and I think they'll enjoy it more if they have some...ownership of it."

She looked around at the new recruits, then back at Kitty and Alicia. "Kitty-cat, can I get you to work with the drama club and come up with a theme and design for the decorations?" she asked. "Alicia. Once that's done, I want you for a feng shui consultation on the design and how it works with the school." She knew that feng shui probably sounded silly to the rest of the students, but then they didn't know that hope and joy were a tangible force, the flow of which could be enhanced by proper geomancy.

Alicia looked at the basketball players, and singled out the tallest of them. "You guys are going to be doing a lot of the heavy work, and particularly getting stuff set up in high places," she said. Yes, she knew Kitty could climb extremely well, but she needed to make sure that everyone who wanted to pitch in had an important job, and besides, muscle work was something athletes did well.

"Toby, you're with me. I'm going to get you a list of what kind of food I want each homeroom to bring, and some other things I want to tell the school - theme, colors, clothing suggestions. You are going to make sure that the Festival Edition of the newspaper gets out by tomorrow, with everything that the student body as a whole needs to know."

She looked at the rest of the group. "Does anyone have any questions or things I'm missing?"

05:00, Today: Sakura Tanaka rolled 5 using 1d8.  Opening shot.

Now, I could fire off an aspect, but I'm satisfied with that roll.

5 is a hit, but ypou take a disadvantage. Invoking an aspect grants a +2 which would make it a 7. A 7 is a single hit with no disadvantages attached. Are you sure you want to take a disadvantage?

Huh. Okay, in that case, I invoke I Have A Plan and School Resources.

That's two hits for two Hope.

Scene 1/Challenge 1
Kitty smirks as she hears her nickname. She walks over towards the stereo system as she pops in a CD. "What are you talking about let's get our school in tha Groove..."

She would click play not paying attention to the music cd she grabbed and start dancing before it even started.

"Bad Reputation" by Joan Jett

Kitty started laughing as she tries to get the others dancing with her to it while jumping around way too much.

Scene 1/Challenge 1
Alicia giggled a little bit as she watched Kitty start to get in the groove. She slipped her book into the small of her back, securing it there with her skirts waistband and let the music take her. Unfortunately there is a reason she is flunking gym and that's because when not transformed she has no coordination. So instead of dancing she was swaying in place, while flailing her arms about every which way they could go.

OOC: Even though I got a good roll, if I take the Aspect Embarrassed Now, that can give me a +2 to my roll and make it 9, which would be two hits, right? I'd like to do that.

Yes, you can do that for 1 hope point. Luckily you cleared this event in one round so you take no damage.

Kitty now has the disadvantage Bad taste in retro music on her sheet.

Despite Kitty's choice in music, Alicia's dancing lightened the mood and everyone thought she was popping and locking. The school festival's theme has been set to horrible 1980's music and Fads! A smashing success. Toby then asked Sakura,"Who are you going to the festival with?"

Scene 1/Challenge 1
Sakura's head went to the desk as Kitty and Alicia started grooving - but despite her plans coming apart in a flurry of madness, the Festival managed to develop a theme anyway. The Eighties were back!

Sakura was still somewhere between peeved and confused when Toby asked the question. Then she rose to her feet and walked over to the flailing Alicia, touching her shoulder to steady her. "Alicia, would you like to go to the festival with me?" she asked. Probably embarrassing the girl more - but she needed some way to make sure Alicia didn't spend the entire festival with her nose in a book. She'd been vital to the festival's success (and a success it would be) and she ought to have a chance to enjoy it!

Scene 1/Challenge 1
Alicia stops flailing when Sakura touches her shoulder and smiles at the other girl. Listening to Sakura she nods eagerly, her smile growing wider "Yes, I'd love to go to the festival with you Sakura." Slightly bouncing up and down, Alicia smiles around the group, first at Toby, then Kitty and finally back to Sakura.

Scene 1/Challenge 1
Toby was silently crushed as he was going to ask Sakura to the festival. But then Sakura asked Alicia. He swallowed his question silently as a basketball team member gave his shoulder a gentle pat as if to say,"sorry bro."
