Final Fantasy VIII | SeeD is a Free-form (that is, no ruleset) roleplaying game I've run periodically over the years. This is actually the third incarnation of this game I've hosted here on RPoL as, after taking a many year long hiatus from writing here, I thought it'd be fun to give the idea another whirl. Although the essence of the idea is the same the story will be entirely different from previous iterations.

Summary
Set 20 years after the conclusion of Final Fantasy VIII you, the player, are a student of Garden. You and your teammates will start the game just before you take your Field Exam to become a member of SeeD, Garden's elite mercenary force that's deployed around the world. Even with the Sorceress threat seemingly removed their still remains a need for capable fighters, negotiators and mediators. Unlike in the game whereby characters would carry with them a number of Guardian Forces (GFs) you are allowed one that is unique to you. Unlike in the original game however they can do more than just launch and one attack and leave! Your GF will be an extension of your character, helping them in battle and perhaps even offering mental advice and comments should you wish it.
