Arrival at Cerrus
Alyss regains her composure. "Everything is fine, our Mechanicus friend here was just having a look at the repair stations. He was just a little eager, nothing to worry about."

Alyss turns back to Lhari. "Well that could've been worse, praise the Emperor it wasn't. I've gotten what I came for, unless you want any help here I'm gonna go take a walk around the perimeter, maybe go to chapel. You're welcome to join me if you wish."

Lhari smashes his fist into the table, obviously frustrated. After checking on his servo skull, he grabs a Flak Vest puts it on and goes to work on fixing the heavy las.

I rolled a 61, passing with no degrees of success.

Arrival at Cerrus
With some ingenuity and no small amount of prayers to the Omnissiah, Lhari manages to repair the longlas by re-purposing some parts from the laslocks that are lying around. Unfortunately, the safety features were unsalvageable after a particularly large chunk of metal impacted them in the previous explosion.

This longlas has lost the Reliable quality, and instead gained the Overheats quality, and Deactivated Safety Features modification.

Arrival at Cerrus
Seeing tech adept bash his fists on the table, Alyss takes the hint and bids him farewell. "He'll be in there a while, he's quite determined." She says to the guard before heading out. As she walks she pulls out her data slate and looks at the map of the city.  She looks at her chrono, and decides to just take a short walk around the palace looking for anything out of the ordinary before heading back up to her room.

She rolled a 76/30 for perception.

Arrival at Cerrus
Alyss notices plenty of things out of the ordinary, a carpet missing several tassels, a painting hung slightly crooked, and a hedge that wasn't trimmed during the last round of landscaping. As she ponders what meaning any of those could have, she sees two figures whispering conspiratorially! Sneaking closer to get within earshot, she catches bits of the conversation...

...only to learn which members of the governor's guard they fancy. Alyss sneaks away from the pair of maids she was spying on, and returns to her room.

Arrival at Cerrus
Meanwhile, in Dominara's room...

After entering your room, it would appear to be a room for visiting dignitaries. While you have seen more luxurious lodging, it is by no means austere, with soft linens and artistically crafted furniture.  The Aquila is emblazoned on most of the furniture, but there is the occasional planetary sigil.

Once you have settled in for a bit, there is a knock on your door followed by a voice outside. "Ma'am, Lady Almirah sent me to bring you the wine that you requested."

Domonia the straightens her face and calls out to the door "Come in darling. You don't have to be so shy."

Arrival at Cerrus
A younger looking girl - perhaps in her late teens - enters the room, pushing a small cart that is nearly overflowing with all the components for a 'proper' wine tasting. Several bottles and glasses adorn the top of the cart, while the lower area contains trays of meats and cheeses.

"I hope this is to satisfaction, milady, I was told to pass on apologies for not being able to tour the wine stores."

"Oh there's no need for the apologies darling."

Yawning and staring back hungrily at the young girl. It would appear that the others have yet to arrive. For the time being would you be so kind as to keep me company while we wait. A young women such as myself can get distressed when all by her lonesome. Please, have a seat, darling"

Arrival at Cerrus
After the girl leaves, Domonia grabs a glass off the table and puts her mouth around the edge to leave behind saliva residue as if she had drank it. She then grabs one of the bottles and pours herself one glass then immediately runs to the bathroom and pours it out into the sink. She then refills the glass to about half to give the impression that she has already been drinking and then lays back down casually on the couch before contemplating about the day so far.

For a backwater world such as this, these plebeians seems to have a bit more resistance than usual to my "charms". From what I can tell, it seems that morale is low and no one is telling the full truth about anything. The government is apparently being embargoed by the bourgeoisie which shows a sort of politicking, a game I enjoy playing myself, but so far little in the way of heretics has yet to be seen. Either way it's clear that no one can trusted which is why I'll let someone else have the first sip of wine, preferably that insufferable Nivellius. Emperor be damned! I hate backwater worlds such as these. If I wasn't currently on it I'd say just blast the damn world and be done with it.

Nivellius smiles. "Don't mind if I do. We may have gotten off to a rocky start, it is nice to have someone else around with a discriminating palate. Have you sampled much of the fare yet?"

He begins to pour himself a glass of the wine that Domonia opened.

Everyone else is free to enter the scene.
