I don't mind rerolling 1's. On the one hand though, that's the risk you're taking if you decide to roll instead of taking the average. You want a chance to get max hp? Then you have to be willing to take the min, too.

I could go either way, honestly.

Ok, I will allow the new house-rule to reroll 1's on HP.

Bhelmyr and Matrim can reroll their HP,
and also reroll 1's until you get something other than 1.

I just re-read long-rest rules, and you can't do it twice within 24 hours.
I was going to suggest perhaps turning the short rest into a long rest, but that's not an option, sorry. (PHB 186)

I just realised in a recent post I called Irontusk ... Irontush ! Haha ! He's got an iron tush ! (butt / bum / bottom). Perhaps it's part of his armor. You'll have to find him and see !

Hey guys I just want to touch base with you. Gnorlin is a cleric but he's not a typical one. I chose the trickster domain for him and plan to take a few levels in rogue as well. The part I'm letting you know about is this isn't just so he can pick locks and scout ahead like most rogues do. I'm actually going to play him with a tendency towards minor theft. Think Rocket in Guardians of the Galaxy when he took the batteries. (as a matter of fact this has already happened and I'm sporting a new set of lock picks thanks to old Theldrat's shop.)

I'd like your feedback on is this as fellow players not characters. I'm going to fail at times and might cause a non-campaign related issue. If any of you have a real problem with this possibility please let me know. I won't do anything thievery related when I feel we're near a major plot point such as here on the docks. I'd like to play him this way but the last thing I want to do is cause issues with the group.

Out of character, I've got no problem with you doing such, within reason. In character, if Bhelmyr catches you stealing, you'll need to convince him its for the greater good, or he'll demand you return it, and possibly, call the guard if you refuse. Of course, i'm not gonna go out of my way to catch you stealing, and you've seen my Passive Perception.
