Re: Out of Character Chat

First up, Happy Holidays!!! yay!

I was scratching my head on how Xander could join the group.  If the party does save the gang, I would think Cyrathas would appreciate saving the lives of his men.  He may consider this a debt to be repayed and assign Xander to help in any capacity.

What all happened? In my head Veltargo hired the Green Daggers for a job, in that time frame they get poisoned? Veltargo sells the Green Daggers a fake cure. Who poisoned the Green Daggers?  Xander thinks Veltargo is to blame, if not directly, he took advantage of the situation and disposed of potential lose ends.  Is this accurate?

If you take Xander to the temple, he could try and persuade a cleric to visit the gang.

Re: Out of Character Chat

- Theldrat the Locksmith hired pc's to find his missing key
- Tracked key thief down, Irontusk the half-orc, who told pc's that the Green Dagger Gang employed him to steal the key
- Green Dagger Gang informed pc's that they recently fell sick (unknown how), and that Veltargo offered a cure (which was fake), in return for the theft of the key.
- (Thus the Green Daggers got Irontusk to steal the key for them.)
- Veltargo may also be responsible for mugging a cleric of Boccob (who tore a cairn charm from around the muggers neck) and stealing a book from the Great Library.
- Why does Veltargo want the key and the book, and where/who is he, exactly ?
- The sage at the Temple of Boccob may be able to provide some leads.

Re: Out of Character Chat

I also wish you all a Merry Christmas. This is my first living in Mexico and I have to say I miss the snow.

Gnorlin is in favor to visit the healers and see if one will return. Following that return to the tavern and get the wine ready.

Oh, I thought somebody brought the wine with us.

And since I probably won't post tomorrow, Merry Christmas! And happy Holidays to everyone applicable.

Re: Out of Character Chat

Matrim bought some wine. Not sure if he's carrying it around with him, though.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year !

As far as snow is concerned, where I live (Australia) the temperature will be 37C / 98F today, so no snow.
I've only seen light snow falling, and never "been to the snow" to ski. We have snow on our mountains and people do go there and ski, I just never have.

Matrim would have brought the wine.

As for snow, I live in Canada and it is bitter cold!

Re: Out of Character Chat

Hey Xander... are you a bard? I’m thinking of multi-classing next level. Was leaning towards bard but if your one then I’ll think some more.

Re: Out of Character Chat

Warlock here with entertainer background. Go for bard if you want. Got the silent image evocation and Minor imagine cantrip to help my performance. I wasn't thinking of multiclassing at character gen but now I wouldn't mind going paladin but I don't have the strength pre-requesit so not going to happen. Oh well.

OK sounds good.

My other character on the site is a Monk with the entertainer background. I like the character and find that the entertainer background give some great character 'flavor' options. My monk is a travelling knife thrower/ sword swallower.

Small world, pretty sure I'm DMing that game. First game I've ever DMed in rpol. Nice being on this side of the screen for a bit.

I play a kensei in a weekly game. Pretty fun.

Re: Out of Character Chat

Happy New Year everyone.

I'd like to thank you all for you participation, considering that this is currently my only DnD outlet, although soon I may be DMing for a local group at a comic-shop, which is exciting (and makes me a bit nervous). Not sure what I'll be running for them, yet. Probably one of the new 5th ed modules.

I know there's been a fair amount of walk-around and talk-talk in the game lately. I foresee some action on the horizon, though... perhaps closer than the horizon...

Re: Out of Character Chat

That's awesome! I'm glad you get to enjoy more of this creative outlet :D remember to have fun too. The DM is just as much a participant as the players!

I think I'm partly to blame for the hold up (I feel like I have to continue to justify why I'm hanging out with everyone as goals get resolved) but I feel like a lot is still happening. I'm sure we will get an opportunity to play with new abilities soon. So far I'm really enjoying the game and playing with everyone.

Re: Out of Character Chat

This is a great outlet for me in between the times that I play and when I DM. Both around once a month.

I really am enjoying my time here and plan to play as long as I can.

This is also my only outlet for the game I enjoy. I've been in five games so far and am currently only in two.  Great fun and I'm here to stay.

Re: Out of Character Chat

I am hoping that Gnorlin will distribute those potions amongst the other adventurers, or let them have access to them, as Matrim (and anyone else nearby) would have seen Cyrathas give them to him.

Of course, it's up to Gnorlin ...

Re: Out of Character Chat

So I think we have the marching order

Matrim
Xander
Bhelmyr (??)
Gnorlin
Kvanlanar

I think for game speed it would be best to just walk ourselves. A trip to the mercenaries guild would add quite a bit of time to the role play and not really do anything to advance the plot. Let us know if anyone is really set on this idea.
