Re: Out of Character Chat

I feel you pain! I never post by phone anymore. It's so frustrating. This site definitely needs a mobile app.

Re: Out of Character Chat

No worries! I'm in a game where posting happens maybe twice a month. That game is a little slow for my tastes. I always look forward to updates from this game.

I would quite a game that slow, that's terrible. What's the name?

Re: Out of Character Chat

I don't mind slow games. I play in 15-20 games at a time, so having a slow one is not a waste of my time at all. Games that move too quickly, now those can be a problem, but slow games are just fine.

Re: Out of Character Chat

Teaching 5E Dungeons and Dragons, the DM has been playing for 13+ years and I wanted to see how they play/run a game. Recently the DM has shown interest in some 1 to 1 games. I've never done that before and am looking forward to trying it.

Re: Out of Character Chat

I'm in that one, too. There are a couple of veteran players around for helping out the new players if combat gets too crazy. Some of the players have taken the "it's an intentionally slow posting rate" a little further than intended though, which is why he's looking at going to solo.

Re: Out of Character Chat

I checked the cast in that game, the majority of players have logged in within the last couple of days. Don't know why it's so slow.

Re: Out of Character Chat

 sand of disappearance I think

, this powder resembles very fine sand. There is enough of it for one use. When you use an action to throw the dust into the air, you and each creature and object within 10 feet of you become invisible for 2d4 minutes. The duration is the same for all subjects, and the dust is consumed when its magic takes effect. If a creature affected by the dust attacks or casts a spell, the invisibility ends for that creature

Alchemy Jug might be useful, some oil could provide some damage over time or some poor aoe

Re: Out of Character Chat

Maybe hard to set up, the mug produces one quart. A quart is two pints, a single flask of oil holds one pint. The following is from the oil flask:

As an action, you can splash the oil in this flask onto a creature within 5 feet of you or throw it up to 20 feet, shattering it on impact. Make a ranged Attack against a target creature or object, treating the oil as an Improvised Weapon. On a hit, the target is covered in oil. If the target takes any fire damage before the oil dries (after 1 minute), the target takes an additional 5 fire damage from the burning oil. You can also pour a flask of oil on the ground to cover a 5-foot-square area, provided that the surface is level. If lit, the oil burns for 2 rounds and deals 5 fire damage to any creature that enters the area or ends its turn in the area. A creature can take this damage only once per turn.

It only lasts 2 rounds doing 5 damage each round.

If we survive we can always drink our woes away :D

Re: Out of Character Chat

The closed quarters make this fight highly in our favor since we have ranged attacks and they (so far) do not.

Re: Out of Character Chat

I think Matrim should down our potion of fire breath. It's a bonus action so he'd get his regular attack plus the breath.

POTION OF FIRE BREATH

Potion, uncommon
After drinking this potion, you can use a bonus action to exhale fire at a target within 30 feet of you. The target must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 4d6 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The effect ends after you exhale the fire three times or when 1 hour has passed.
This potion's orange liquid flickers, and smoke fills the top of the container and wafts out whenever it is opened.

What do you guys think? This could go very bad, very quick if we don't stay ahead of this curve.

Re: Out of Character Chat

1000 posts is quite a milestone. Not many games reach this point. Great job by everyone and thanks to the GM for a compelling game.

With Gnorlin's recent multi-class to Bard, and my choice of instrument being the Kazoo, I think it only fitting we have a song to celebrate this milestone.
