[Chapter 0.04] The Weaver's Web

Round 3
Torgan throws his javalin but fails to connect.

Eliza swings her sickle and makes it past Rynwyrd's defenses striking a savage wound across the elf's chest.

Moggrim continues to chase the Weaver in the corner, jabbing upwards with his spear but the weaver proves to be quite agile on the ceiling, continually scampering away and out of reach of the small statured dwarf.

The weaver completes her spell and a soporific effect starts tugging at the eyelids of Moggrim, Torgan and Eliza. Both Moggrim and Eliza however shake off the effects of the spell.
OOC: Torgan needs to make a DC 14 save or fall asleep.

With her spell mostly a failure the weaver makes another gesture and suddenly there are 5 copies of her all clinging to the wall and ceiling. The illusory copies seem to continually shift back and forth making it impossible to tell which one is real.
<orange>

Somehow despite all the copies of her Rynwyrd is able to pick the right one and smashes a molotov cocktail on the weaver causing all the copies to scream in agony and beat out the flames. The weaver looks a bit singed but hardly as injured as an old woman should be.

Round 4
Amara, Karella and Verna all run onto the scene next to Torgan. Looking inside they see Moggrim trying to poke down a flaming old woman clinging to the walls while a very bloody Rynwyrd is apparently facing off against a peasant woman armed with wicked looking sickle.

"Oh. Heyyyy." Torgan slurred, blearily turning as the rest of the team arrived.  "Izza cavvry-"  The half-orc faceplanted into the dirt road outside the weaver's shop.  A faint snore rose from his unconscious form.

<Orange>06:12, Today: Torgan Dul rolled 12 using 1d20+1 with rolls of 11.  Will save.

Amara moved closer to Torgan and sighed, leaning down to shake him roughly awake. She didn't have time for the sleeping bards bullshit, and she needed information since she couldn't quite know what was going on.

"Wake up. What the hell is going on?"

Move: Move to E5
Standard: Wake up Torgan.

"Huh!?  Wuh?"  Torgan looked around blearily, trying to regain his bearings after being knocked unconscious.

Looking up at Amara, he shrugged.  "They're trying to kill us.  I think the old lady's a monster."  With that cleared up, the bard took a deep breath and resumed singing The Fall of Shelur Ghak, picking up the orcish epic at the exact same place he left off.  Belting out the low, rumbling battle song, Torg clambered back up to his feet.

Standard: Activate inspire courage, +1 to attack, damage, and saves against fear for all allies.
Move: Stand up.

Karella slowed when she came upon the fight. She had used most of her spells fighting the scarecrow. She concentrated on the scene.

Rynwyrd let out a pained grunt as the crazed widow sliced him with the scythe. Blood was flowing freely from him. He staggered a step away from her, still concentrating on the witch-weaver for the moment, though that was likely not the smartest move. He tossed another bomb at her before putting the spear back in his hands and fully facing Eliza. Assuming she didn't kill him with her next swing...

OOC: 5ft step away from Eliza. Throw bomb at witch (AC 23 for 5 fire dmg).

18:23, Today: Rynwyrd Darkmoon rolled 23,5 using d20+5,d6+3 with rolls of 18,2.  Throw bomb at witch.

[Chapter 0.04] The Weaver's Web

Round 5

Torgan slumps asleep but Amara is quickly upon him shaking him awake from his magical slumber.

In a round of concentration, Karella can detect that yes, there is magic present.

Torgan is able to wake up enough to keep his song going.

Eliza cuts at Rynwyrd again while the alchemist is distracted focusing on bombing the witch.
OOC: Rynwyrd takes 2 pts of slashing damage

Verna rushes forward and bonks the crazy woman on the head, opening up a gash and dropping the woman unconscious.

Moggrim stabs up at the Weaver and shatters an illusionary image.

The Weaver again chants out a spell, this time effecting jusut Moggrim but the hardy dwarven monk shakes off the effects.

Rynwyrd manages to hit the actual weaver with his bomb. The weaver screeches in pain as she beats out the fire on her cloak.

That old lady could sure take a beating, Torgan thought to himself, readying another javelin.  Probably more evidence that she wasn't really human.  Or at least he really hoped she was a monster.  They didn't really have any evidence against the weaver, aside from their word that she had attacked them.  That...would be enough.  He could talk his way through that.  Probably.

Torgan lobbed the javelin, erasing another of the mirror images.

MOVE: Draw Javelin
STANDARD: Throw javelin at weaver.  Hits AC 21 for 4 damage, and targets a mirror image.

Rynwyrd gave a nod and flashed the halfling a weak partial smile. "Thank you. I do not think I would have lasted much longer."

He staggered back from the fight, moving so as to not easily be targeted by the weaver in any area effects. He quickly and methodically pulled out a vial from one of his various pockets before downing it in two quick swallows. Some of his wounds seemed to close over almost immediately.

00:05, Today: Rynwyrd Darkmoon rolled 5 using 1d8+1 with rolls of 4.  Cure Light Wounds extract.
