Re: other stuff

Well, both, really. Falling one level is unlikely to kill her, and since Scraps saved the boy, her importance is pretty low on the list of things to do. The job is save the boy, not save the people who kidnapped him.

If she gets hurt in the fall, well... serves her damn well right! Blast that wall, fly off with the boy! Stay on mission!

HECK with her, then. Got it. I hope to post in-game later today...

Re: other stuff

Sorry for my being so lax, folks.   Lockdown means my daughter is home 24/7, and as the 'at home parent' this is severely cramping my personal time.

I'll get a post in soon, I hope.

Re: other stuff

Cosmic Girl has the ball... I mean the toddler... what's she gonna do with him?

Shall we (retcon) have a couple of unmarked police cars (and maybe the boy's grandfather?) waiting a few miles away in case one of the heroes managed to steal the boy?

Then they could take the boy, and unsuspiciously drive away (pretending not to be cops relocating a recent hostage), allowing Cosmic Girl to return to the action (soonish)...?

Re: other stuff

That sounds ideal, unless the other heroes want to follow her. But we have villains to fight... Having her fly to drop the boy back with the police and family, then returning to kick some ass sounds excellent!

Re: other stuff

Just a few quick questions of confirmation: Does the -1 Forward mean my next roll has a -1 and that’s it? Also, can I still get a plus one if I use the things that I found with Look Before You Leap? Just trying to see what I would roll for a crazy plan. Also, are there any other roll penalties for crazy and improbable plans? Cuz I’m thinking of shooting lightning into gravel in order to blast Breakneck in the face and, hopefully, blind him temporarily. I’m not sure if this would even work, but if I can go with it, would I be rolling it with a +2 (Hold Them Off w/Confident +2, Using the gravel from Look Before You Leap +1, and a Forward -1)?

Sorry, just want to make sure with y’all.

And no problems with the unmarked cars here!

Yes.

White Lynx:

Yes. They would cancel one another out, in that case.

White Lynx:

Depends how crazy and impossible they are.

White Lynx:

An inch away from an additional penalty, but not quite impossible enough to actually earn an additional penalty.

Yeah

No apology needed, since I'd prefer you check on things like that.

Would there be any penalties if I tried to assist in the “convincing Breakneck to give up” plan?

If you want to try to do that, then roll Charming, and I guess based on what you roll, I'll decide what happens after that...

Maybe we should consider running away, Goodwill? If “the cheerleader” is gone, Cosmos has probably gotten the hostage out of dodge, right?

Hopefully you’ll change your mind after Mr Oni Bologna breaks your back.

But seriously, we’re in a bit of a tight spot. Hopefully we can turn things around soon!

Re: other stuff

Cosmic Girl, you seem to be doing this...

It’s Clobberin’ Time!
When you action up your foes, roll + Forceful.  On a 10+ choose 2, on a 7-9 choose 1:
--You hit hard (+1 Stun)
--You avoid most of their retaliation (-1 Stun)
--There isn’t much collateral damage and no bystanders are left in danger

You rolled a 9, so...

Sorry, forgot to add the extra info! I am living in migraine land and it is making me a but cloth-headed about brain use.

I'd like to opt for Clobberin' Time... +1 stun! (I am just hoping that we're doing enough damage to take him down before he makes us all red smears on the ground...)

Sorry to hear about migraine land.

I myself plan to post again tomorrow. In this new pandemic world, everything is different, and Mon and Wed, formerly my slower days, are now my busy days...

Re: other stuff

I sympathise for anyone who gets true, horrible migraines. I have had them all my life - and not just in the head. Did you know stomach migraine is almost indistinguishable from appendicitis?

Found that one out the hard way...

I am liking the increased RPoL activity from people who now have more time on their hands. I've been periodically totally housebound for months at a time, on and off, for years. Part of me feels bad for people struggling with this. The rest of me is rather enjoying people getting a taste of what chronic illness isolation feels like...

My wife knows all about that because of her health issues. This isn't really that different for her (and, to a slightly lesser extent, for me).
