Well, there's probably more than one 'Gil Woods' in the book, so crank callers wouldn't necessarily know which was which. But he primarily counts on most people being nice enough to think "I know his name! I'll go look him up in the book and crank call him!"

I don't think that would work in this universe, but in Gil's universe radiation might give one awesome powers, so maybe this is another way Gil's universe is different.

Henry Cavill's not a terrible choice for a secret agent. I loved the Man From U.N.C.L.E. movie and he was fun in that Mission Impossible flick.

Well I wanted a clean-cut-but-not-military white guy (because 1963) in a suit, very no-nonsense and vaguely handsome but not exactly mean-looking, and he was the closest I saw to fitting that, so...

The aura is off by default, only on when she activates it. That way she won't accidentally start fires or zap people by accident!
