Just like Clockwork?

Doc had hidden away in the lab for several days. He was happy to have been able to start his project back up again. The large crate from SHIELD had been retrieved from an old abandoned military base. The Robot or whatever was inside was fascinating. But in the past several months with Shield he was not able to get anything working.

The lab here had a few other things and Williams had let him modify anything he wanted.

Doc fidgeted a few of the wires and amped the voltage on the micron accelerator.Boosting it ever so slightly with Omega waves.

The lights in the lab flickered ever so slightly.....
And then.....

Did the eyes move? come on!! Work!
He said as one of his mechanical arms tweeked a couple nobs...

The being opened its artificial eyes taking in the sights around it. The vision was blurry until it adjusted. It tried to activate its internal chronometer. It had been 31 years, 56 days, 11 hours... since last activation. Previous reactivations were short but frequent, going back until 1985 (a years system it was not initially familiar with). The arcane energies inside it began to work through the various internal components. "Why have you reawakened me?" it said with a voice that sounded like a man talking into a fan.

Doc Was Pleased!< green> Finally! After so much time. </green> He stepped back from the machine and looked it over.

I am Doctor Otto Octavious and I have been working to activate you in order to know who or what you are.
He tells him.
Are you sentient? What are you? He asked needing to slow down his train of thought.

Doc looked at the construct. Well protecting this Dimension was a good start. at least it wasn't set on destruction, but it was a broad statement, Elaborate on bulwark against those who threaten this dimension, Who do you serve? Who Sent you? Where do you come from?

"The beings that exist outside of this reality that use humans as their pawns. Those are my foes. The last time I spoke to a human, someone of "the U.S.A." He said that none of the places or people I mentioned exist. According to them I for all intents and purposes do not exist".

God this was like Bloodrager all over again. Doc scratched his head in frustration.
He was aware of the up coming meeting with new people. So he would continue to try and get information in the meantime.
Jocasta, when William is done with the team, have him come to the lab.

Jocasta's voice confirmed the request.
And Doc returned his attention to the construct.

Now, what is outside this reality?  Doc wondered if they had attempted to wipe his mind... Memory core... Whatever so it did not think it would be used again or to decommission it.
do you know where and when you are? he asked.

Doc continued to enter some of the info and gathered what he could.

Do you have a Prime Directive? Are you Sentient? Can you make your own choices?
Oct asked him flat out, now wondering if it we programmed for something specific of if he would need to be programmed or even if it capable of thinking on it's own.

Soc wasn't sure what the Eternals were. But had never heard or seen anything about them in SHIELD.
So you are saying you are available to still protect and serve... say a team?
Doc says explaining a little what Task Force is.

The doors open and William stop suddenly.
What the hell? Doc? what is the meaning of this?

Ah William, yes this is why i needed to see you! this was...

I know this was your project, but no one mentioned this was a robot!

It's not a robot. It's something more. Ask him yourself. Doc informed William.

Doc Explained what he knew so far about the Knight William asked a few of the same questions and finding out about the memory issue. With that and a few more questioned that followed, William explained where they are what Task Force was doing. He had Jocasta join them so she could try and hook up computer to computer exactly what CK was ...

CK joined with the computer known as Jocasta. It took a bit for the two to be made compatible with each other since CK has no software. The two reactivated the various parts of its body. Its history started 11,203 years ago. Mission after mission flew by, years taking seconds to pass. Its masters it seemed had largely left Earth either in death or emigration. The last date of memory before the long sleep was 1721. CK was on a British ship going from the colonies to England. The crew thought it was just an ornate statue since it wasn't moving. There was a storm and CK found itself thrown into the sea.

Jocasta noticed some memory core issues. and some attempts to hack the system of CK. The most recent were from 1990, 1989 and again 2008 and finally one from 2018. CK seemed to pull some information from his decommissioned status and pulling some of the hack/reprogramming attempts to cause some issues with his reactivation.

CK realized that its memories had been compromised at several points. It made sure the most recent decades were good but put off the other memories for later. There wasn't likely time for all the updates due to the current state of the task force.

Jocasta Looked from CK to William and then to Doc Ock.

Sir Clockwork Knight is set to go for the most part. We can work on his memory core slowly. I am afraid too much at once may result in possible further corruption. But Clockwork Knight's other functions are running at full capacity.
Jocasta Turned back to CK.
I will work on Patches that you will be able to download during your stay here to ensure all your memory core is back to full function.

Dock looked around A small look of disappointment was on his face. This had been his biggest project and it seemed to be over. CK was up and running and functioning on his own.

Clockwork, Will you be staying with us and joining Task Force? I would like to keep you around and see if there are any other things we work on, Maybe improve upon? He asked. If the hard part was done at least Doc would have other work he could do for CK.

William also Spoke up. Very well. If you are both sure he's good to go and he is ok with remaining here I'll escort him to meet the others.

William looked at both of them and they both acknowledged that CK was good to go. So William turned to CK. So what do you say?

Doc Ock gets the following message from Kevin.

"All right, listen up.  One of our newbies has just dropped some truly disturbing intel that you all need to hear," Kevin said.  "So I'd like everyone to drop anything not actively about to explode and haul butt to Tec/Comm room.  Doc, this means you, too.  It's sciency.  You'll love it."
