Aurora

After the group meeting, introvert that she was, Alison needed some space to reflect on everything.     Yes, she might have gone to her own quarters for that.   But, that wasn't very interesting, and needlessly restrictive when distance was something she didn't need to generally concern herself with.

The drive from the taskforce HQ to her present location would have taken over six hours.    But for her was more like moving from one room to the next.

Mount Mansfield was the highest mountain in Vermont; the summit where she sat within the town of Underhill. The range extended into a pair of other towns, as  well as a different county.   At least, so wikipedia informed her.

When viewed from the east or west, the mountain was reputed for having the appearance of a human like profile, which included forehead, nose, lips, chin, and even an Adam's apple.  Seeing it was so while flying in, she'd hailed him-  "Yo, Floyd!"

She sat enjoying the absolutely splendid view, that included the winding Sunset Ridge hiking trail that led all the way up to her location.   Far off in the distance, she could just make out a small troupe of hikers working their way up.   Doing it the honest, arduous way.  She sometimes wondered if her powers were going to make her lazy.   Though, expected probably not, now that she was on the Taskforce.

She was able to check her phone --  had seen there was a tower not too terribly far from here as she'd flown in.    Jason had returned her last message:

"Hey, sis, look:   I'm not gonna put up with this BS anymore!  You say you want to help me, but you just never understand that -- "  *Beep*

Alison deleted the message.   The problem was she did understand.   All too well, by this point.   And she wasn't playing the game anymore.    Jason would have to stop blaming everybody else, if he was serious about getting help.
