Re: OOC thread. #2

Well, I'm willing to try something for a bit. I've got a few choices, so let's see what appeals to people.

In this setting, superhumans have been becoming more frequent in society. Opinions about supers tend toward the negative but not mob mentality. The Government is looking into registrations and laws governing superhuman activity, but so far there's nothing widespread. There's a few anti-supers groups out there, and more and more supervillains are emerging every day.
And 'Rager, human characters please. For these scenarios I have, I've not really got any evil appliances spots.

1. The Junior League. A school style setting for teens who are learning full control. Light on the world saving (although a group of our teens once saved Godzilla).
2. The Dogs of War. The players are joining up with John Havok, a known superpowered terrorist, to be his Dogs of War, striking out against the corrupt parts of the system that seek to experiment/enslave or otherwise take advantage of the burgeoning superhumans.
3. The Gladiators. A team of superhumans assembled to fight against the superpowered villain group known as the Syndicate, led by the enigmatic Chessman.

Re: OOC thread. #2

While I like 'light on the world saving', I'm really not big on playing teens these days.

#2, the Dogs of War, seems to be the one that sounds more interesting of the remaining scenarios.

All good options, but I agree that #2 sounds like the best.

#2 seems like a good choice, though I could work with either of the others as well.

Re: OOC thread. #2

Looks like the Dogs of War it is.

I'd set it up tonight but I'm in the tail end of a business meeting right now and exhausted. Tomorrow I'm out doing some business related stuff too, so might have it tomorrow night, not sure.

By end of week I'm sure it'll be there. I'll post the link and then we can start doing characters.

Should we start reporting in there, with signed (as best we can manage) NDAs?

Re: OOC thread. #2

Anyone who wants to play can go ahead and get their NDA in. I'll be putting up a character thread and OOC boards and the like as soon as I can. Tonight is migraine night, and I'm alone with my son for the evening since his other parents are out at a birthday party, so I can't really do much until tomorrow.

My company, Atomic Ninja Studios, will be doing a live broadcast panel at Aethercon at 9EST (short notice, I know). If you want to see me make a fool of myself answering questions that I have no idea the answers to, feel free to come watch!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?...amp;feature=youtu.be

Re: OOC thread. #2

Due to the quarantine, my company (Atomic Ninja Studios) has decided to make it's entire catalog of games FREE for this month! Well, it's technically pay What You Want, but we're trying to ease people's feelings of being stuck. So if you're a Savage Worlds player, have an interest in the system, or just want to check out stuff (mostly so you can mock my poor writing skills), go to https://www.drivethrurpg.com/b...Atomic-Ninja-Studios and download everything you want. And if you'd like, check out the Dead End Jumpstart on there, as it's coming to Kickstarter very soon...

Oh, and if you'd spread to link to people you think would be interested I'd appreciate it. Free advertising is free advertising after all...

You know the Dogs of War game: link to another game

is still going.  Slowly, but it's going.  We were looking forward to whatever weird character concept you were going to bring to life.  You're still listed as Subject A if you decide to come join in the fun.

It's not a demanding game post-wise at all.  There's been whole months that have passed without IC posts.

Isn't that kind of every character you played here?  Are you Subject E, then?

Oh, and is that other game I was in where you GMed still running.  It kind of stopped at one point so I dropped it from my sticky, but if it's still viable, I'd be glad to get back in.

Darkstar:
Kevin arrived outside of the Rec Room just in time to hear Darwin's last comment.  "Fun, maybe, but part of it's about keeping loved ones safe and the other part's about just staying sane.  Would you really, truly want to be a person who got followed into the bathroom by people desperate for you to sign an autograph to them?"

A bit late to note this, but I realized that this exact thing happened to Clint Barton on the first episode of the Hawkeye show last year.
