Introducing: The Troika System

Core Mechanic

- Roll 3D6 and note the result of each die separately
- Compare each result to a Target Number (TN), set by the Director; each die that meets or exceeds the TN is considered a Hit, and each die that fails to meet the TN is considered a Miss
     - 0 Hits = Failure; the roll is unsuccessful, and the player suffers some sort of drawback
     - 1 Hit = Marginal Success; the roll is successful, but the player still suffers some sort of mild drawback or triggers a minor complication
     - 2 Hits = (Ordinary) Success; the roll is successful and the player invokes no complications
     - 3 Hits = Amazing Success; the rolls is successful, and the player succeeds with style, giving them a bonus to their action or to their next roll (depending upon the situation, as explained later in the rules)

Character Creation

Attributes
Every character in Troika is composed six Core Attributes, along with one special attribute (Resources, explained later). Each attribute is given a whole number rating from 0-6:
- 0: , -2 to rolls
- 1: , -1 to rolls
- 2: , +/-0 to rolls
- 3: , +1 to rolls
- 4: , +2 to rolls
- 5: , +3 to rolls
- 6: , +4 to rolls
For each core attribute, a player will also choose one of two Specialties

The six core attributes are as follows:
