Introduction: The Four Seasons
The Four Seasons. The enormous, classy looking building promising luxury and pampering inside stands ready. There's a kind of vibe in the air, a frisson. There's a feeling in the air that something is going to happen. The passers by, many who have seen the place a hundred times and have grown bored of the sigh, suddenly look on a little longer than intended. The air seems full of possibility.

Do the staff inside know what to expect? Do they know that the gods themselves have sent representatives to sort out some kind of problem?

From outside it's hard to say, but the huge doors at the front, at the top of a short flight of stairs from the sidewalk, await any and all who want to enter.

Introduction: The Four Seasons
A white limousine pulled up in front of the Four Seasons, coming to a stop in the valet parking area. The driver, a beefy man dressed impeccably in a black tailored suit, stepped out and around to open the back door for the lone passenger within after tossing the keys to the valet attendant.

"Thank you, Soter," Nigel replied as he exited the limo. He was dressed for the Miami heat, in a tailored white linen suite, blue tie and matching blue handkerchief. A white panama hat rested on his head, tilted at a jaunty angle. On his feet he wore a pair of white canvas sneakers, adorned on each side with a golden Nike swoosh that looked a bit like a pair of wings.

He regarded the impressive entrance to the hotel and as he was admiring the beauty of the architecture, Soter moved up the steps and pulled open the door, allowing Nigel to enter first, then following right behind him.

Introduction: The Four Seasons
Nathan chose to make no such impressive entrance, but he was hardly a poor man. Instead as he walked from where he left his car with the valet, he opened his phone, making sure to text Leanne one last time as he walked up towards the entrance. 'Is this really the right place? Any idea what to expect?' Despite one metal hand, his fingers typed with excellent grace before he slid his phone away and let both hands slide into the pockets of his jacket.

Whatever was hear was practically something that could be felt. He was certain if Leanne or the witches were here, they could confirm or deny the magic at work. But instead he made his way to the entrance, only able to guess as to what he would expect.

Nadia checked the text again and adjusted her cap with a sigh. Couldn't arrange a meet in a bar or something, they had to go all out for - whatever this was supposed to be. Probably a briefing, probably for something violent, and in any case it wasn't her job to complain. Nadia crossed the street and entered the ritzy building like she belonged there, and if anyone got upset they could take her spear and shove it.

Shao exited the cab he road to the hotel with only two bags, a backpack tucked over one arm and a large dufflebag he dragged out with the other. He were dressed in a dark grey tee shirt and black slacks, not too out of place for a man on vacation. After all, he were effectively on vacation, as far as the HKPF were concerned. Looking over the building before him, he shook his head at the appearance of the hotel before turning to his cabby and bowing. "Xie xie. Here, a bit extra for you," he said as he handed the man a hundred dollar bill, more than covering his fair, if not doubling it. Bowing once more, he turned and headed towards the hotel, reaching up with his free hand to hide the medallion he wore around his neck under the collar of his shirt.

Shao walked towards the front doors, keeping his bags close while he walked. Every once in a while, as he took steps forward, the brass glint of his badge could be seen peaking out from under the front right hand of his belt line. He weren't exactly hiding that he were a cop, after all, the only ones who would care were the ones who feared the law.

Introduction: The Four Seasons
There is a sense of urgency in the young man that enters the foyer from inside the hotel itself. The man is a little gangly, a little awkward looking, and his manner is that of a man who has been told that he has something incredibly important to do at the very last minute. It's on his face and it's on the normally-stylish grey suit that looks like he threw it on while he was dashing out of the door.

He looks around the foyer at the people coming and going, then decides that he's clearly not going to be able to pick out who he's expecting on sight alone and then just stands up on a coffee table.

"Everyone for the, uh, private function?"

His voice is possibly a little squeakier than he'd like it to be. His pride just took a hit. But, in his favour, he commits himself to his course of action as people look over at the new spectacle. He gets a hard look form the concierge who clearly does not appreciate a member of staff behaving that way in the hotel.

Nigel approached the nervous, little man as Soter quietly followed along behind and two steps to the right of Nigel.

"Nigel Clarke here for the soiree," he introduced himself to Chuck, extending a hand in greeting as an impish smile danced about his lips.

Aw, how cute, an adolescent crane of a human being. Nadia left the fountain with a small smile and strode up to the coffee table. All three men earned a glance, but only one smelled of olives and heat waves. "Sergeant Sayyid for the same."

Introduction: The Four Seasons
Nathan was fairly certain the private function had to be the one he'd been told about, he couldn't imagine there'd be that many overlapping events all at once. "If it's what I'm assuming, then I'm in as well. Nathan Farrell," he said, as the introductions went around. His right hand stayed pocketed, he extended his left for handshakes offered. He laughed a little as he asked, "So what are we in store for tonight? I hope nothing too exciting. I've got work to do in the morning."

Shao shrugged a bit as the seemingly timid young man announced something about a private function. Shaking his head a bit, he began to walk over towards the man, only to see the amassed group gathering. "Seems my taxi brought me to the right place, if appearances are to be believed," he quipped, his accent making it rather clear that English wasn't his first language, but very well practiced none the less. Taking Nathan's hand in a firm shake, he nodded to him before glancing at Nigel with a steely gaze, and then bowing before Nadia in a show of respect. "Inspector Wulong. Feel free to call me Shao. Sergeant you said? Military or Police?" he finally introduced, crossing his arms and leaning back a bit as he grinned from ear to ear.
