Question - Are we still creating level 1 characters? Just asking since we're starting with the second module.

I don't think we're starting with the second module, just that we start using the kingdom building rules once we get to it

We are playing by PFS rules, so donít roll.  Animal companions get (4.5 + Con bonus) x HD rounded down + any other bonuses for hit points.

Exactly correct.  Starting with the first module in the AP.  If we make it, in the second we will be using the Kingdom Building rules from Ultimate Campaign.

Chahna Drazzi:
Greetings everyone! I will be playing a Vudrani Negotiator Bard looking to exchange her cushy job for a bit of venture!

Should consider if our group make-up is compatible with your skills. Not sure how our group would benefit from your "Fast Talk" bardic ability...

quote:
Fast Talk (Su) At 1st level, a negotiator can use performance to affect the perceptions of any number of targets that can hear him. While the negotiator performs, these targets take a Ė1 penalty on saving throws against enchantment (charm) and illusion (figment, glamer, or shadow) effects, as well as a penalty on Appraise checks equal to half the negotiatorís level (minimum Ė1). A target that fails its Appraise check believes that the object in question is worth 10% more or less (negotiatorís choice) than its actual value. At 5th, 11th, and 17th levels, the saving throw penalty increases by 1 and the shift in an objectís perceived value increases by 10%. Fast talk is a language-dependent, mind-affecting ability that uses audible components.

This performance replaces inspire courage.

At the moment I'm leaning Lawful Neutral, leaning somewhat towards the good side. Order of the Cockatrice

I was thinking of going Lawful Good myself with some character flaws. She may want to be LG but she makes mistakes and is selfish as well. It's complicated :)

I think Istvan is in a similar boat. He probably claims to hold to the ideals of chivalry and knightly honor, but when it comes down to it he's more motivated by wealth and glory than anything else.

Looks like a decent archetype!

GM, my sheet should be all set, though I was considering taking the Gendarme archetype if that's ok

Let me know if you decide to go that route. It might certainly change some things for me... like following you on horseback with the sword. Although my horse probably won't be combat trained or comparable in any way to your mount.

Have you also considered the Emissary?

In reply to Kendra Winters (msg # 15):

While it is an unfortunate sacrifice for this archetype that it does not gain Inspire Courage nor Inspire Greatness, It is the archetype I applied with and it is my desire to play this archetype.

I appreciate you trying to help to find an archetype, but I am sure we will be fine :)

Emissary looks pretty good too! I still think I might just go straight cavalier, as that's what I applied with

In reply to Istvan Medvyed (msg # 20):

Gendarme is PFS legal and therefore allowed.  There may be times that you are not able to keep your mount with you, however.  I just want you to be aware.

I appreciate the thought of sticking with what you applied with and while I think the group as a whole is reasonably well balanced, I am absolutely open to individuals tweaking their characters to improve the party composition.  But no one should feel pressured to change their character away from what they would like to play for that purpose.

I am glad that character development is coming along.

I think I'll go with Emissary! It leaves me with a bit more mobility when dismounted, which I think will come in handy. Also, it'll let me get spirited charge at level 1.

Sorry for the delay, Sundays tend to be family-day for me, but otherwise I'm super-active.

Aether Kineticist is basically a "Telekineticist".  No magic, just a psychic ability to move things with my mind.

At first level, he's roughly a weak rogue... 2nd level, he's a match for most rogues (ranged disable device), but he doesn't really shine/spotlight until around 6th level...  I basically throw pebbles around until then in combat for low damage, and as an Elf in a Constitution based class, am disadvantaged.  :P
