Re: [Act I, Scene VI] The Gates of Wrath
"When we come only see vine peoples! Like deadwalkers but vines ...
Listening to the creature's childish rant, Brodd did detect a discernible narrative. Yes she was still a goblin and not to be trusted.
"Apparently the household was infected somehow but there's one fellow unaccounted for," he says grimly to the others. "So we can still rescue someone as was out first intention."
"Where is this man's gear?" Brodd then asks the goblin, referring to Erlindale.
Regarding the creature's fate, the priest knows that in the long term she will be forced out or killed, but there was no reason they could not be genial for a time. Perhaps they could even show her was real, civilised folk were like and she might take this lesson back to her broodlings.
"There is a place for every creature under the sun," he mutters to himself. It was a psalm, not really popular with the older clergy, but still a belief of his faith.
"Fine. If you surrendered, then give us your weaponry and take our trust that we will not abuse you. As a prisoner, there are rules and we will follow them."
Brodd felt everyone from Masondain would be honourable enough, but what of the newcomers? Would they even be staying once they knew the place was not to be looted??
