They don't do bonus (or negative count) spells in B/X.

Just a joke, at Regdoc's expense, anyway. You can't have a negative number of spells, no matter what you're playing.

Actually, DM has allowed orisons, so Brodd and Regdoc will have minor divinities... I think he felt sorry.

I, erm, just realised there's an Out of Character Thread.  Consider yourselves fortunate "Iffy" has better perceptive abilities than I!

As long as scene II is where se spend half the session shopping for a tool for removing horns from a dead minotaur...

Actually, I might want to stop on Market St. and pick up a red cape...

Then I fold it up and stuff it in my backpack. How much did it cost me? I don't need quality, just red.

No objections to the marching orders, or the change in chapters!

Or them Thiefin' tables.  Don't need no fancy thief kits.  Just some lock picks, and -- heeey, are my thieves' tools assumed to be back on my person?  I'm going to put the stuff we got from that noble guy on my sheet (and flush the stuff that's on there), and if that noble took my tools away and didn't give them back, I'm gonna fill out a hurt feelings form!

Your tools are mysteriously back in your bag even though they were confiscated before. They’re tied up in a thin wire too with a special knot - a symbol of the city Locksmiths Guild. (Aka Thieves Guild)

Is this game alive? Besides a clever fart joke (and don't get me wrong, fart jokes and D&D go together like peanut butter and jelly) there's really not been a whole lot happen... I appreciate the effort that's gone into all the class variations and so forth, but it's kinda meaningless if the story's not progressing. If there's nothing going to happen at camp tonight, then please bump us ahead DM.

Also, we had a three-day weekend here in the States and some of us, self included, were probably on vacation. And there's a potential player I need to check up on because his family was stuck in the path of Hurricane Michael...

I hope so too! I don't even live near Florida and I've had my house damaged by hurricanes more than once!

I'll give you all a chance to banter as you break camp, and I'll start the next Act later tonight.

Iffy:
"It's true, you know..." Iffy says to Chomper, unable to resist going along with Regdoc's...Regdoccery"Ask any deer, or your good man.  They'll tell you all the same.  One minute, I'm making promises, selling palaces to paupers.  Next minute, don't you know it, there's meat stolen off bones, skins traded for gods only knows what, and...and men leaving their families for livestock."

"...and that, dear children, is where Minotaurs come from."
