OOC: Let's read folks. The troll never came through the door, only its arm, which got trapped, set on fire and torn off. The troll's still on the other side of the door and has gotten more frantic... for some reason, perhaps there's something else beyond the door as well? Fire and a trap will still work if it comes through the door, at least as a distraction, giving us enough time to wet ourselves. Let's read though, and ask questions if we don't understand. It makes things really wonky if we're reacting to Fake (or mistaken) News. :-P

Uhh I was taking this statement as a hint from the GM, and the fact that you didn’t say anything about my goal of making a second trap that I shouldn’t bother - this is why I gave up in character... to make listening to the hint make sense.

Ah, good times! This is actually gonna help us out though, it takes away one of the troll's attacks... Not sure how quickly it can regrow another arm, but I'm guessing that the fire/trap effort bought us some time and a bit of a chance against this foe.

Which state you moving across?

My tabletop game over the weekend went well. The player roster was totally different from the first game, so I sent them to a different dungeon. Of the three players, two had never played tabletop D&D before, and then there's my neighbor who's an avid gamer. They had a Cleric, MU, and Thief, so I threw in an NPC fighter to join them. If my 0hp rules weren't so gracious they would have lost at least half the party, easily. In four hours, including chargen and lunch, they explored the surface area, set up camp, then explored a few rooms in the first level, slaughtered some goblinkin and hauled a chest of silver topside.

Never mind the fact that they let two goblins escape to warn the rest of the tribe...but we'll deal with that next month.

Players: "It's just 2 goblins. What harm could they cause?"
DM: Evil laugh

...exactly. I plan to have the new PCs arrive just as the second and third levels of the dungeon empty out to pay them a nighttime visit.

Been crazy. Sorry I haven't been available. Apparently moving to Eastern Elbonia means not having internet... at least not very promptly. I'll be a little slow for another week or two.

I'll be out of town tomorrow and mostly unavailable until Tuesday.

Is anyone here still controlling two PCs? I have a Facebook friend who's interested in joining the fray.
