[Act II, Scene X] The Crystal Cavern

Miss Entity makes some small talk as they pass through the charred husks of the control room and the now-thawed hallway.

"Mister Oneshoe, you may wish to know that you and that troll were frozen in the corridor together for 73 years, 9 months and 6 hours. The facility has degraded significantly since your gnomish corporation fell to the invaders below...

She eyes Regdoc's artifact and shakes her head.

"The wheellock pistol you hold was unreliable, even when it was new. With the decades of degrading it is useless at best and certainly a danger to yourself. Perhaps in a few centuries the technology will be improved and commonplace, but this piece? You should discard it..."

"A terrific paperweight for when I get back to the office." Regdoc snorted, though the Entity would likely know that as a Seeker he had neither an office nor a stack of papers to his name. He shoved it into his belt with a stubborn jut of his chin.

"The Wanderer's Ways are sometimes long and serpentine... time is measured in leagues by my order. A century is a dusty road, but one best taken a step at a time..."

Further down the tunnel, the party reaches a small opening in the rock on the right.

"This is the entry to my lair," the naga announces. "The Unificant among you may enter. The rest of you, please wait outside."

She lowers her head and slithers through the halfling-sized opening.

Einhard drops the reins, and pats his steed calmly. "I don't like the idea of leaving some behind either, but it seems there is little choice if we wish to get out of this place." The knight calmly moves forward to follow this strange being.

"Hmmf. I'm certainly no eunuch, and though Chomper ought to be, he isn't either. We'd better wait out here..."

He gave Einhard and Brodd a sideways glance. Either there was some misunderstanding or those two had some secrets...

Still have The Black Axe of Einhard though!

"I have retained gear that will help you defeat the basilisks and their keeper."

She hovers over the party members as they squeeze themselves into a glowing cavern, the walls and formations as reflective as the naga herself.

As Brodd squints, the naga slithers over to a crevice in the caverns and begins removing objects with her tail, setting them in order.

"A gargoyle has migrated from the lower levels and taken to caring for them as pets. Being of rocklike composition, he is immune to their gaze."

Einhard stands up and brushes the dirt of his armor as best he can. He picks up his shield and spear, then adjusts the new sword on his belt. "Seems these things will turn you to stone just by looking at them. Miss Entity says there is someone that suffered such a fate and gave us a powder to return him to a living being. I am sure he will be grateful and join us.. at least to get out of this awful place." He turned to head forward, and paused. "Oh and apparently the lever to open exit is underwater... basilisks, gargoyles, and flooded exits..." he shook his head and continued.

Regdoc seemed in a sour mood. "Why do I feel like we're being used as a cleanup crew?" He looked the crystal over in his hand, and then tied Chomper's to the dog's spiked collar.

"There. The only thing worse than a flea-infested scruff following me around for a hand-out is a statue of one that I feel obligated to pack around. You won't do me any good if you come down with a bad case of stone-jaw..." Though gruff, the old cleric scratched the guard dog's ears affectionately.

"Somebody ask if she's got an extra shield handy!" he called through the hole to his eunuchated companions who'd gone inside.
