Amalrik gives a short bow to Dwarghar and a flourish of hand in an "After You" motion.

Dwarghar reaches the ledge first to see a grand total of TWO kobolds hurling rucks down at the three party members who remained.

For the Plowing Forward crew, the terrain is getting more difficult with more large rocks strewn about, some obviously petrified remains and some more uncertain.

"I suggest we stop and wait Einhard, no since in splitting the party."

Amalrik huddles behind Dwarghar, staying out of sight as much as possible. You right, me left ?? he whispers to the dwarf.

Ooc I’m not exactly sure what is going on. But it seems we grabbed the box and went up to the Kobolds (not what I intended but totally okay)

Dwarghar drops the box, hearing his partner he steps right and swings his hammer at the Kobold

Einhard stopped and listened for any signs of combat or other trouble. "I was focused on what may lie ahead and didn't realize not everyone was with us. Do we need to circle back?"

Safe to say Dwarghar was as surprised to see the kobolds as they were to see him. The thump of the chest landing on the rocky floor distracts the kobolds from the rude lutist just in time to evade the trapper's charge.

"HEY! This is a service entrance!"

In reply to Einhard (msg # 92):

"They'll be fine. They ran away from the danger," says Creston. "The real question is, are three of us enough to take on a Basilisk?"

"A basilisk, what if it is more than one?"

"No. We will hold here." He placed his hand on the sword he received from the entity. "The entity mentioned gargoyles as well. We are going to have our hands full even with all of us here."

Trying to stay in cover and trying to get visuals of the enemy Manaku sneaks back towards his comrades who he hears are about to engage the enemy.

"Let's try to stay together! But mind the falling rocks...!"

Amalrik rushes the other kobolds, attempting to crash into one - pushing it off the edge while he stops in time ... Not sure what to roll here, DM, feel free to do so if it speeds up matters. ...

"I hate Gargoyles," says Creston. "I don't remember why I hate them, but I can remember the hatred."

"Of course we stay together," Regdoc hissed, "but we don't need to stand out there where the local fauna can bury us with stones!"

He looked ahead, calling upon his deity for insight about the Path ahead. "By the Thin-worn Soles it's dark down there!"

Leohart's wand flashed as he whispered its magic word. The glowing arrow that appeared flew through the air, went around Amalrik, and struck the kobold he was charging.

Roll a to hit like you were using a weapon. Damage is 1-2+Strength. With your Strength bonus you'll certainly boot the small blue humanoid down the cliff if you hit.

[Future reference, in B/X Magic Missile does 1d6+1]

The humanoid is slammed in the face by a bolt of energy, and in a splash of blue gore the kobold is no more.

Amalrik crunches the kobold, then turns to face the other remaining one ...

The elf looks back at the direction they had come and could hear sounds of skirmish there. He then hears voices ahead - is that Brodd speaking? He can make out word "a basilisk". Torn on what to do he simply grimaces and presses his back at the cavern wall, bow at the ready.
