Pock moves down just in front of Brodd, with his sling readied all the while.

Leohart will tuck into the middle.  One day, he hopes to not have to worry about that, but he isn't there yet.

Alietra goes down first, keeping eyes and ears open for anything out of the ordinary.

The knight gives Alietra a few yards lead, then follows the thief. "Any sign of the vermin?"

Pock and Brodd follow Einhard down the stairs into the unknown, Brodd was glad he had a new friend.

Leohart follows along, as observant as he can be.

[Alietra, roll a d6.]

Alietra stops and then raises her hand for Einhard, Brodd, Leohart and company to pause.  She points to the archway at the bottom of the stairs, looks back at her party, and tries to mouth the word "goblins!" without making a sound.  She then quietly steps down a few more stairs to try to get a better view.

Inner Monologue: "As a barmaid, we had our silent ways of communicating - it would be really useful to discuss with this lot!"

After peeking through the archway, she looks at her companions and holds up two fingers, points indicating the direction, and then readies an arrow in her bow.

She looks at her party members in a way says, "ready?"

Leo nods back.

Brodd readies his staff for use against the little buggers. He watched Alietra carefully.

Pock prepares a stone for his sling, indicating his readiness to begin the fight.

Gorn readies himself with sword in hand.

Alietra takes a deep breath, pokes her head around the corner, and fires an arrow.

Alietra rolled 10 using 1d20+1.  Short bow attack.

The pair of goblins look up in surprise as Alietra's arrow sails past one of them.

[The rest of the party gets chances too hit as well before initiative is rolled.]

Leo pops around the corner and uses his wand of Magic Missiles to launch an attack on the one who doesn't have an arrow sticking out of him.

That would be either goblin, but just as one of them starts to lift his blade the crack of your magic missile lifts him off his feet and slams him into the far wall, after which he crumples to the cracked stone floor in a lifeless heap.

Seeing the thief fire an arrow, Einhard draws his sword and charges forward with his shield leading the way. He felt a strong compulsion to shout a strange battle cry. "Leeeroy Jenkins!" One of the goblins was hit by arcane energy and collapsed to the ground, so the knight swung his sword at the other.

The goblin just barely dodges the knight's swing and answers the battlecry with a strange riposte.

"Well at least I have chicken!"

Gorn follows Einhard and takes a swing at the goblin.

The Scout rushes towards the surviving goblin, who tries to parry but fails, and is run through on his blade.

"Your moves are weak..." he gurgles as the baleful red lights dim and fade from his eyes.

"Score two for the good guys"
