Martial Arts Style Competition

For our first fight:

Vulco will control Lane Weber III, representing Kyokushin Karate

https://drive.google.com/file/...LjN694I25FjSXtP/view

Nicole will control Demchugdongrub, representing Smasha!

https://drive.google.com/file/...VowTkprX19FQldr/view

They start out one yard in from the edge of the stone platform, on opposite sides. the platform is 10 yards across, so they are 8 yards apart.

I rolled a quick contest for you to determine who declares maneuvers first. Lane won. However, I hadn't noticed Demchug's higher speed of 6.25, so he will go first.

Lane cracks his neck, adjusts his powder blue gi.

He moves forward 4 yards.  Closing half of the distance between them.

Lane screeches and does an all out attack using his pressure point technique on the left arm. He closes the remaining distance and launches his fist.

Sorry, my bad. You got it. I rolled right after but should I roll before? Is there a way to roll in the thread?

14:33, Today: Vulco1 rolled 11 using 3d6.  Attack to hit (3d6+4 for allout -2 for arm -2 for pressure point)

Rolling against a 13

14:43, Today: Vulco1 rolled 6 using 1d6+2 ((4)).
Got 6 damage

14:55, Today: Vulco1 rolled 15 using 3d6. Quick Contest for Pressure Points - Must beat 10 = IQ+0.

A hint of a smile cracks at the corner of Prince Demchugdongrub's face as his torso half-turns, a forearm batting aside the fierce opening blow and, in a crane-like gesture, setting up his own strike.

Active Defense: Parry

Nicole rolled 10 using 3d6.  Parry vs 14 (Brawl/2 [8]+3, +3 [Enhanced Parry]).

Manuever: Attack (w/ Extra Attack 1)

08:02, Today: Nicole rolled 10 using 3d6.  Eye-rake vs. 17 (Brawl [16] +1 for Evaluate).
08:08, Today: Nicole rolled 4 using 1d6.  Str 12 + Arm St 1 = 1d Thrust, +1 (Brawling) -1 (Eye-Rake) = 1d crushing.

(I feel a little like I'm steam-rolling if I make your HT roll for you.  Roll HT -4.  Failure means you're blinded for 1 minute times his margin of failure.)

Lane has just enough time to get his hand up and protect his eyes.

Defend against eye poke vs HT-4[8]
22:14, Today: Vulco1 rolled 5 using 3d6 ((2,2,1)).

(I see it says attack with extra attack, so you have another move or is it my turn?)

The well-trained wrist slashed left, then hooked back into a second rake at the eyes!

10:55, Today: Nicole rolled 13 using 3d6.  Eye-rake vs. 16.
10:56, Today: Nicole rolled 4 using 1d6.  Str 12 + Arm St 1 = 1d Thrust, +1 (Brawling) -1 (Eye-Rake) = 1d crushing.

(Do another HT-4 to resist blindness and then back to your turn!)

The brutal grappler narrows his eyes at that mighty, desperate bellow.  Perhaps his qi had been disrupted by the pain of his rake?

His foot, slow and deliberate, as if making a grand show of it to the crowd, lifted in a careful arc before making a lightning-quick stomp at his foe's foot.

Manuever: Attack (W/ Extra Attack)

Today: Nicole rolled 10 using 3d6.  Stamp Kick Targeting the Foot 18 (16 - 3 (Targeting Foot) + 4 (Telegraphic) +1 (Standing).
Today: Nicole rolled 7 using 1d6+2.  Boot to the Foot Damage 1d+2 (1d+1, +1 for Brawling).

(I'll turn it back to you for defenses before the second attack.))

Recoiling after being blinded Lane senses something. But doesn’t know what. He throws a leg out to parry but it misses the incoming strike.

Rolled 9. Failed.

OOC: Kneeling. Good point.  Makes sense to me.

The pain is intense and Lane can not hold his weight on his foot anymore. he begins to fall but rights himself into a kneeling position. He has never felt so out of sorts before; blinded and hobbled.

True to his martial training, the Demchugdongrub didn't hesitate for a moment to press the advantage, his heavy-booted foot rising to swing high for Lane's head.

23:30, Today: Nicole rolled 12 using 3d6.  Telegraphic Kick to the Skull vs. 12 (16 -2 +4 -7 +1 = 12).

23:33, Today: Nicole rolled 9 using 1d6+4.  Kick to the skull. (1d6+1 + 1 (Brawl) +2 (Mighty Blows) = 1d6 + 4).

-2 for skull DR puts it at 7 damage x 4 for wounding modifier: 28 HP of damage.

Brutality.  The gasps of horror and fear of so-called civilized men.  This was what Demchugdongrub lived for.

Knowing that the inevitable follow up blow, probably a finishing blow, is coming, Lane swings his arms to...

A sharp pain then everything feels loose and warm.  Then a bright light appears...

OOC: I'm pretty sure Lane is definitely in a coma.
Good fight Nicole/Demchug

11:55, Today: Vulco1 rolled 7,14 using 3d6,3d6.  HT = 12 (first roll for to avoid unconsciousness, second roll to avoid death).

Passed first HT check for death. Still alive.

Blow didn't reach 2 multiples of HP so I don't have to roll again (I rolled twice above but my math was wrong the first time so ignore the second roll).

No coma. All characters have hard to kill +3 for this game, precisely for this kind of situation.

Lane probably chooses to go down. He also needs to roll knockdown at -10. failure by 5 or more results in unconsciousness.
