On San Sebastian Island

As Shade, Knockout, and Free Bird prepare to leave, Drifter pops back in with Shadow Strike who explains that he was already seen on the boat and so needs a different ride.
Drifter pops back out, without Shadow Strike, and the expanded crew spend some time saying hello and identifying their target arrival point.

On San Sebastian Island

Shade, Knockout, Free Bird, and Shadow Strike arrive at the edge of a clearing, approximately fifty meters wide. The 'shed' in the center of the clearing is square with ten meter sides and a single sheet metal door. The door has no visible lock. Outside the clearing is sparse jungle growth, but the roar heard is not from a creature and appears more to be some form of internal combustion engine.

There are eight robo-ninja, and they hurl themselves forward on the attack. In unison, they move partially into the clearing and toss spinning shurikens at those standing at the shed door.
OOC: entering combat, phase twelve, everyone but Knockout gets to move before the robo-ninja throw their shurikens, Knockout gets to move after the robo-ninja

(OOC-Using teleport other on Knockout as an attack action just before the Robot Ninjas attack. Then using my normal teleport to move myself out of the line of fire.

Knockout will appear behind R3, assuming she does not try to dodge my teleporting her for some reason. I normally have to roll to hit, but I think she will let me teleport her.

I will transport to the upper right corner of the map.

Do I have to hold my action to do this?)

Re: On San Sebastian Island

OOC : Err.. do this with your roll:

Sum OCV + bonus/mod you use + 11 - The roll amount you obtained. It gives you the DCV you hit.
Ex: if you OCV is 8, and you don't use any bonus/mod, your roll should be like this : 8+11- 3d6 = DVC hit. Meaning except on a 18 on the dices, you always hit. Of course, this can change with modifiers...

Re: On San Sebastian Island

Assuming you rolled a nine (3d6+8=17), you would have 11 + OCV - 9 = DCV that would be hit. We'll assume Knockout is not resisting and allow you to work against DCV of 3, so you have managed to do it. In order to manage it in one phase Shade would have to transport himself first, and then Knockout (because you're not allowed to move after an attack action).

Re: On San Sebastian Island

You can hold to use your action defensively, then use a half phase to move and a half phase to move Knockout. Neither of these will prevent the robots attempting to attack but it would force them to make PER rolls to locate the targets and that has the possibility to lower their attack rolls if they fail the PER roll.

Shade causes R6 to be struck by its own shadow, and although it is knocked to the ground the robot doesn't appear to be damaged. Shadow Strike zips over to the shed, leaps atop it, and kicks R5 off the shed to the ground.
R4 smashes Knockout with a steel tonfa. She spins and barely manages to stay on her feet.
Both R6 and R7 swing their swords at Shade, and although the first to strike does nothing, the second DOES produce a largish cut on the shadowy hero (3 BODY damage after defenses).
R5 climbs back onto the shed roof, and brandishes his sword.

Knockout backhands the robot ninja away, it lands but doesn't appear damaged.
Free Bird slams Roboninja 1 back into roboninja 2. Roboninja 1 bounces off roboninja 2 before hitting the ground. Then Free Bird hits roboninja 2. The robot's shoulder shatters, and will be useless. The robot flies back INTO roboninja 8 and bounces off, hitting the ground. Roboninja 8 is then struck and flies back ten meters before hitting the ground, it looks dented and damaged, but is struggling to stand.

Re: On San Sebastian Island

Free Bird whips another blow into R8, and the robo-ninja drops. Shade destroys another of the robots, almost as if he infects it with chaos as the robot shakes itself apart. Shadow Strike throws a final blow into the robot atop the small shed, and it drops. Knockout slams the other robo-ninja to the ground. The last two robotic ninja seem to have slunk off into the trees.

Re: On San Sebastian Island

No, as robotic ninjas they are attempting to be one with the trees so when you look through the trees you also look through the ninjas (or they have some method of moving at extremely high speed).

Re: On San Sebastian Island

The outer door on the small shed is padlocked, but Shadow Strike unlocks it almost faster than someone with the key could.
Inside is another door, this one some sort of solid metallic material.

The only light on the other side of the door is a single UV bulb. It's a single-spectrum area.

The security door inside the shed appears to be keyed with a palm sensor and retinal scanner.

"I might be able to teleport through the door...but if it's designed to stop such things it might only be a trip for me. I cant see if there are controls on the other side that would let me open it manually. Should I give it a shot?" Shade offered.

"They already know that we're here. Let's just tear the door down."

Free Bird eyed Knockout for this.

Retrieving a few specific pieces of the defeated robots, Shadow Strike says, "Do you think these guys ever used that door?"

Someone recalls the island map, and you realize you're between 400 and 500 meters almost directly west from Hatter's location.

As soon as his teammates where ready, Shade transports the bunch of them to Hatter's location. Once again they sink into a large pool of shadow around Shade, rising from the darkness at the new location.
