having lost a visual on K9!  Drifter looks around to see if he can spot the fellow.

"K9?"

"Master?"

The brutes remain prone or confused, their failure having rendered them immobile. Despite their unnatural strength and endurance, they were bested in less than fifteen seconds.

Motoring back out of the pyramid, K9 makes his way to Drifter and says,"it does not compute, Master. The displacement in both time and space are mathematically impossible. Disruption from the temporal shear will be quite lethal."

The Stuntman took the time to slide the empty clip out and reload, before putting his Custom Hand-Cannon away. He was making some effort to hide the disappointment in himself for what he felt was a subpar performance. If I had the old treatments and weapons, I'd be doing much better. "I'll have to recall not all sets will be optimal for my next show."

He starting stalking around it, studying it, and making sure he didn't accidentally step into arm's reach of any of the prone foes. "So, it is the time travel, and if we go through we die? Can we close it or bury it? Que pouvons-nous faire? I am not a great thinker, but if I know what to do, it will get done."

A wormhole does have at least two ends and I just think it would be advisable to see if anything is going to creep, slither, pounce, trudge or otherwise find their end of it too much of an exciting opportunity not to explore?

OOC: I still don’t really understand how time got messed up, not sure if that would help me think up a solution. If possible, Truesilver would like to try and extend his awareness beyond the anomaly using Eyes of the Mind (Mind Scan). If Truesilver can find a Mind he’s familiar with, he could potentially establish mental communication.

K9 comes back through the edge of the pyramid. "Not bigger on the inside, master. This one is a door, not a house."

Stuntman started tapping his foot impatiently while holding a hand to his head. "Voyons! Is this going to end up like Egypt? Where we just... left? Can we go in? Do we close the gate? Everything is quiet. The defeated people, upon closer inspection, appear to be nearly identical. They are hairless and wear only loincloths made of linen. Their skin is tanned and weathered, indicating a lot of time in the sun. Though they're not necessarily injured or unconscious, they remain on the floor with unblinking eyes focused on nothing at all.

"Darryl Starre is... NightHawk?" The Stuntman reconsidered his assessments, and in a rare moment his voice became contrite. "Ah. I've read your work. My apologies then, for... um... my specialty. I understand now."

He smiled, breaking into a grin as he steeled himself, and his voice lightened up. "On ne vit qu'une fois. Make it count. This moment is my job, and exactly why I am with you."

He jumped into the portal, yelling as he did. "Coûte que coûte!"
