Probably Universal Translator or something like that on the part of the god. The Stuntman is hoping this event triggered Nighthawk's distaste for firearms, and that maybe he can inspire them to be more lukewarm about such projectiles. He's wrong, and I certainly know that out of character, but Stuntman thinks that this has already happened in history, and that their current time travel is just a natural path.

But he does believe it can be changed, and that their actions do matter.

Ramses is speaking English, as he recognized that the heroes were just like Pharaoh's minions who he had previously learned to speak to.

I know enough about Set in the real world to have an idea of what they are about, but that might have zero to do with this Set. The Stuntman was kind of wrong about them, although storms are an on-and-off association of Set's, as is so much else about them. Their role often shifted with the internal and external politics of Egypt, because they were a god of the Outside and the Foreign - that which was not Egypt.

Master! standing Armies is not a new concept, The Egyptian army is estimated to have had over 100,000 soldiers at the time of Ramesses II c. 1300 BC

For plot reasons, I hope we bypass dispatch and assembly times, unless we are expected to be here for some time. Admittedly, I might be wrong Genre Savvy, trying to apply conventional superhero logic to what is actually Dynasty Warriors or 300.

The Stuntman always knows what he is doing, until he doesn't and he just makes it up as he goes. In this case, get to the bad guys and just fight them, or hunt them down one by one and pick them off like wolves after caribou. Three of the team is composed of new folk, so maybe that's why we got some hesitation - half of you are unofficially in seniority, or social leadership.

It's quite fascinating, especially in a Ship of Theseus fashion.

It will take about as much time for Ramses to gather his army and engage the other army as it takes the heroes to get to the objective and watch for the departure of the army surrounding their objective.

I don't have that as an actual limitation. Its more like a special effect. What keeps my penetrative vision and hearing from working is one spectrum of light only, a rare event. On Doctor Destroyer's island that happened, but I am not sure others know of Shades power limits.
