The ship's CO is Commander Robert Jeffery 'R.J.' MacReady. He's a 28 year veteran of the Colonial Navy and assumed command of the Andromeda two years ago. He's stern but fair and very level headed. He was born and raised on Caprica and speaks in the crisp tones of the upper crust Caprican.

Physically he's a tall man, standing 188cm and a trim 93kg. His hair was black but has started going silver at the temples which lends him a distinguished air. He began his career as a naval aviator flying Raptors and has risen steadily through the ranks. Prior to assuming command of the Andromeda he was XO of the Valkyrie.

An announcement comes from the Commander via the Overhead:

"Attention all personnel. All department heads and senior personnel are to muster in the starboard hangar bay in 15 minutes."

Hello all. I thank you for your patience with my recent lack of posts which was caused by my chronic health issues and my mobile being turned off due to a billing error that was not on my part (I can post at work between patients at times).

As we get back to the action there are a few things I'd like to mention.

Thing the First: I like fast-paced games and it's obvious we have people here who can keep up with the fast pace but there are others who can't which has made it hard for them to post since they're a wee bit lost. So I'm going to slow the pace down some so people can catch up and stay caught up. I want everyone to have fun so this is to accommodate the more than a few who are having trouble with the posting rate.

Thing the Second: This is, first and foremost, an RPG. It is not a military SIM. Some of our players have a military background, some **raises hand** have a paramilitary background, and some have researched the hell out of things to go for a level of accuracy **keeps hand raised** which has been somewhat off-putting for those who lack such a background or haven't seen the rebooted show or done the research I, and others, have done. So I would appreciate some forbearance on the part of those players who do have background in affairs martial when it comes to those who don't. Let's keep the game fun for all (those of you who post what the acronyms mean in your posts are wonderful).

I'm going to post this in OOC as well to make sure everyone sees it and if there are any concerns, please don't hesitate to PM me.

All right all. This week was a hell week which was partially taken up by having to testify at a children's hearing but that it, happily, behind me.

I'm rereading my notes, various threads, and hope to kick off the action either Friday night or Saturday.

I've had a fair number of people respond. I'd like to get some more whilst I do some housekeeping and read through the posts to remind myself where I was. I think I'll watching some BSG this week to really get back in the mindset. :D

Any mistakes are mine given the long time between IC posts. I'll get back into it soon enough and I thank and love you all for your patience and continued interest.

Game is up and running again. I plan on keeping it going as long as I can and will see who is left before opening recruiting to new characters.

I'm cleaning up the cast list some - moving players who haven't logged on in some time (some when the game was first active) to NPC status. Anyone who has been moved who wants to come back is more than welcome to do so.
