Player Catalog of Possible Shadows... - Previously Seen Shad

Fort Jupiter

The land where stout men fortify what is theirs to keep it safe from the wilds. The danger of the Black Road looms over them from the twisted, oversized wolves, rumoured to talk and shapeshift.

Far over the pond an empire show interest in this far off nation.

Quiet Earth

This civilization, where cultists fought against the establishment, came to an early end when the tail of a meteor caused world wide suffocation.

Signs show that this world has been effectively deserted for endless years, nearly eons as almost all things have eroded away. Except for the stone ruins of an old fort.

Redscale Canyon

A shortly visited land with a canyon more vast then the grand canyon of Earth.

Shadow thoughts of the day.

Castle Chronia
- A fortress surrounded by ocean waves, connected to the mainland by a single several mile bridge. It shows signs of erosion from constant sea spray, long neglected for numerous years, decades, centuries.

Recluse of the Resting God
- A palace-shrine to a sealed god. A mass of grasslands and hills, rocky spires and lakes. All of these contained by a circular mountain range.
But what else is contained here? The source of those low, rhythmic rumbles? Signs of geological activity, or of long forgotten creatures of incomparable size?

Azure Plane
- Sky. Blue sky in all directions, including below you. If there is a ground, it is so far below, that the blue sky obscures it. The only features are the clouds or their absence.
What is that line? That line in the middle of the sky? Is that the horizon? Why is it vertical? Or are you falling "sideways?"

Merman's land
[*]A world consisting of rock, pebbles, coral and sand banks. With rock pools and "rock lakes" abound, some are connected via underwater tunnels. Those caught without a boat will have to hope they can find "tide spires", plateaus or pillars high enough to be spared when the tide comes the evenings thanks to the power of surplus moons.

Karthar - City of Lies
[*] A city of sprawling layers, immense density and perplexing passageways. A place where a major currency is secrets, instructions for routes, passwords for institutions, a person's true name. Everything comes with a cost.

Skyfall
[*] This world is dangerous, but not for the people within, but for the hazard the world itself presents. Tall buildings and structures are connected by ropes and bridges, flying is a true privilege. In this upside-down way of life, one false step can have you falling down, into the sky, towards your doom.

Scuttler Street
Giants are the dominant beings of this Shadow, and unlike some of their kin, they have advanced their way of life into one of complacency. Humans have to choose to either live within the unclaimed wilderness, or live hidden in the nooks and crannies of giant society.

The Coral Roads
A confusing maze of quickly growing coral and the many fish and creatures that make their homes within and around the coral. The coral roads are the reflection of the forest Arden and it's reflections. A beautiful and colorful place where like Arden there are both wonderous and magical places as well as dark foreboding dwellings.

Fatamorgana, the city in the sky

A floating city built on stone that defies gravity for some reason. People and cargo come and go via riding hippogriffs or magical flying sailing ships or dirigibles. A Shadow reflection cast by Tir-na-nOgth...

Parys

“I traveled through a Parys once, but it was not romantic. It was a city that prided itself on its dark atmosphere, guarded by many gargoyles who were all very anxious to relieve you of your eyes if you misstepped. Double darkness. But they had good music in Parys and good cafés and the Catacombs were hopping behind the barricades!”
“The Parys you went to sounds dreadful. The one on Earth is supposedly very beautiful, and nobody looking to take your eyes.”

“The gargoyles were pests, but the rest was rather invigorating!”
— Ballad and Lance, discussing Parys

A post-apocalyptic ‘Paris,’ with the river full of ghosts and an underworld, constantly in the grip of at least a cold war. Currently, Parys is mostly ruled by the Court of Hearts though the Court of Diamonds could gain ascent at any moment. Diamonds versus Hearts versus Knives versus Bells is an ancient rivalry. Parys has a pretty gloomy feel, but it’s famous for its music and cuisine. Expect to get into some Capulet-Montague throwdowns if you're wearing the wrong color. Expect many sentient gargoyles, patrolling, ready to trick or tempt you off the path and into trouble. They keep the peace, such as it is. The Catacombs are held by Diamonds. There’s electric lights but they don’t work very well and torch light is more common. Did we mention the music and cuisine are really phenomenal? …

Ahogadaluna

There is a salt marsh in Ahogadaluna criss-crossed by pilgrim routes, most of which are fallen somewhat to abandonment and ruin. Twilight lasts for a very long time and night is also long. Somewhere in the marsh is the Shrine of the Drowned Moon where the shrine-keepers raise silver falcons. They require an offering. Interesting fauna include bogles, ghosts, Toads, and antlered foxes, among others. The first three avoid light but toads will catch any traveler through a marsh unwary enough not to have a light and pull them down under the water. Bogles will do worse, maybe. And ghosts, don’t even think about it. There's an outpost which sells lanterns and other fixings, so a pilgrim is never without. Further away from the marsh, there are cities and nations as yet unexplored by any Amberite.
