CHARACTER CREATION: READ NONE OF THE AMBER BOOKS

You are different from other humans. You look human (you might have one or two details like an odd natural hair color, though), but you're more than human-- healthier, faster, stronger-- a lot stronger, like two or three times stronger (not that you look like a big weight-lifter or anything. Unless you do). You're probably better-looking, too.

Why? Well, whether you know it yet or not, it's because at least one of your parents was of the royal family of Amber, a magical world...

Character creation:

1. Special Option:
You get to choose ONE special option:

--You're good at combat

--You're good at magic

--You've got some sort of awesome magic item that your parent gave you//left you

2. Minor Option: You also get to choose ONE minor option from among these:

--You're good with using The Pattern, the special thing imprinted on an Amberite's DNA that makes them special

--Special Study: You have one special area of study (Strategy/Planning, Marksmanship, Riding, Tracking, Other)

--Manipulation: (politics, diplomacy, charm, haggling, making alliances, causing friction among others (you don't pick one of these-- all of them fall under manipulation), etc.)

3. Stats: Distribute these scores: 16 (+2), 15 (+1), 13 (+1), 12, 11, 9, 8 (-1).

(Strength)      ......         STR :
(Dexterity/Agility)  ...    DEX :
(Constitution/Toughness) CON :
(Intelligence)   ......        INT :
(Perception)    ......         PER :
(Willpower)     ......         WIL :
(Charisma/Personality)   CHR :

Keep in mind that these are not human stats. These are Amberite stats.
--An Amberite with a STR of 8 can still break down the average door without trouble.
--An Amberite with a CON of 8 can still shrug off disease and fatigue better than the average human.
--An Amberite with a WIL of 8 still has a strong will next to the average human.
--An Amberite with a CHR of 8 is still decent-looking-- maybe even gorgeous-- it's the abrasive personality that brings down the curve, in such a case...

Other details: You get one extra point to spend...

4. Looks: On a scale of 1 to 11, where 7 is "notably better than average" and 9 is "TV star" and 10 is "huge movie star in his/her prime," how good-looking is your character? (Do not choose lower than 6.) (Choosing 11 means you spend your extra point.)

5. Money: Money has never been a problem for you... but spend your extra point to make sure you have a lot of liquid assets you may spend later in the game on one really big (like buying high-quality weapons for a small army).

6. Gear: You start with whatever gear you want to carry around... you have a maximum Load of 6 plus your STR bonus (or penalty).

7. Damage:
--If you chose the Combat special option, your damage die is d10.
--Otherwise, your damage die is d8 against non-supernatural threats, d6 against supernatural threats (including other Amberites etc.), although it still might go back up to d8 if it involves your specialty (Marksmanship, say).

8. HP: Your HP starts at 18 plus your CON bonus (or penalty). (Spend your extra point to get 3 extra HP on top of that).

9. Background: You are the child of at least one Amberite, but choose where on Earth you have been raised...

10. You have a signature color, and a secondary color (and, if you want, a tertiary color, but that's optional). You are drawn to wear them, to choose only accessories in your color scheme... Name your colors, please...

<b>11. The other details
will come later: specifically, the GM will talk to you about the other details...
