Not very long after breakfast, servants come and inform Ballad, Ariadne, Lance and Jon that Jade is going shopping in town.

(Those who make a point of inquiring will learn:
--Odile is going, too (although Odile will not be going to Bloody Mary's later on)
--There will be a few bodyguards coming too, considering what happened the last time that Jade went shopping in the city
--The bodyguards will be on horses of their own, so there'll be plenty of room in the carriage
--The bodyguards will not be coming into the actual shops-- just standing guard outside and so on)

Fetches Odile and anyone else and boards the carriage.

Still dressed in her leather jacket and denim jeans, Ariadne joined the others waiting for the carriage.   She still looked around like she wasn't entirely sure that this wasn't all just some elaborate practical joke, but she waited patiently by the others.
Seeing Amber city for the first time, she couldn't help but stare in wonder at the even this small slice of thr immense medieval style metropolis.
She tried to be subtle about her gawking, as most people who grew up in the Boston area had a bit of a love/ hate relationship with tourists, and absolutely loathed to be seen acting like one.
Still, it was difficult to not feel like she was in some kind of Renaissance style Disney World, with elaborately dressed servants and soldiers roaming about on various duties.   None of it seemed quite real.

Jade was happy to be in the carriage and smiled the whole time as they rode into the city. She took on a certain air about herself like she should act a certain way.
Back straight, face serene, a wave out of the window to the people as they rode. Her attempts to be regal coming from her youth in Rebma.

She kept alert though as she scanned the people.  She was still well aware the enemy was out there.

Seeing her cousins interest in things she spoke to Ariadne like a tour guide might.  As her eyes found a little Victorian shop.
"Oh we simply must stop here !" she signaled the coachman,  "Please stop coachman. "

Her eyes returned to Ariadne, "Are you enjoying yourself cousin ?"

Ari looked around, smiling with a shrug.
"I'm still not sure what to expect, to be honest.  I spent some time with costume designers back on Earth, but I've never been a person obsessed by clothes.
What kind of things are we looking for?"

Jade gave her cousin a bright smile.
"Well I am in love with clothes.  So stick with me."

She opened the carriage door and let them both out. "This shop I fell in love with. I plan on replacing my destroyed parasol here."

The shop held Victorian style clothing and accessories and Jade seemed in love with the styling.

"What were these Star Wars about ?"



"Ahhh, much better."

Ariadne nodded to Jade, actually feeling more comfortable talking about Star Wars as they perused fancy costumes
"Essentially, it's about a young man, a simple farm boy, discovering
his true destiny and his family, and all this is set against a backdrop of a rebellion against a tyrannical Empire.

"So a little bit like ourselves sans a tyrannical empire."
She leans in, "So what happened to this farm boy ?"

Ariadne smiled and nodded
"He ends up discovering his own magic, for lack of  a better word, and saves everyone, while finding a long lost sister and father, with the sister being a leader in the rebellion and the father being a leader in the Empire.  "

"Oh family drama ! is this based on real wars ?" Jade was in rapt attention as she listened to her cousin.

Ariadne grinned
"No, no...it's completely fictional, although the author was said to be inspired by a few other historical and fictional stories of families at war."

Jade nods.

"No shortage of that, even in our family here there were members on either side of the black road war. So it isn't so far of a stretch for a nonfictional work as well."

She then poses before a mirror, "Does this look good on me ?"

Ariadne nodded soberly, still dealing with suddenly having such a melodramatic family
She looked at Jade and rolled her eyes, though with affection
"I suspect that everything looks good on you.  Though in this case you might want to add some gold or green trim or accessories.
Your hair is a bit bold in color and makes the dress seem almostdrab in comparison. "

"Oh, yes a splash of color, and accessories."
Jade picked out some other things until she feels just the right look is done.

"Thank you, though I see my hair everyday so Im more used to it." she smiled.

Turning this way and that she nods, "Yes, I think this will do, thank you cousin."

Ariadne nodded
"You're very welcome.    I'm not a big clothing person personally, but I've helped lots of women choose outfits

Jade nodded to Ariadne.

"So what did you do on the Shadow Earth ? I have noticed the clothing you wear is very different from what we have here."

Ariadne smiled with a shrug
"Well, to be honest, most clothing on Earth is fairly different from your fashions here.  I'm not an expert, but I'd estimate that mpst of this stuff, or clothes like it, hasn't been worn on Earth for over a century, or in some cases several centuries.   Earth is very fast paced, and constantly changing "

Jade looked shocked, "Im several centuries out of fashion." She pouted prettily.

She looked in the mirror again, "Im glad they are still in fashion here."

"You and Lance have the same kind of pantaloons, do men and women wear the same clothing on Shadow Earth."

Ariadne smiled ruefully.    This had definitely been a topic of concern among the nuns in her school when she was younger.
"Well....yes and no.  Most women's fashions, at least in the mainstream, are a bit closer to what you're wearing, dresses and skirts.   Women have only really been wearing 'pantaloons', we just call.them pants, for about a hundred years or so.  I'm not adverse to dresses, per se.  I mean, if i were i probably wouldn't do joined you today shopping.  But i usually have a very active lifestyle, like riding my motorcycle, and that works better with pants.  Dresses can be fun, and sexy, but they also leave you a bitm..well, vulnerable, for the most part "

Jade listened.

"Vulnerable ? I feel more protected." She tilts her head curiously.
"Especially with my parasol."

She then turns to Ariadne, "Do you have problems on your world that women need to be able to run often ?"

Ariadne sighed, shrugging.  Her father often went into "lecture mode" when he explained something in detail.   It was always illuminating but often annoying.   She wasn't sure that she had the energy to discuss it socio-political-economic ramifications of gender relations in her world, but she decided to try to say something
"On Earth, for as long as anyone can remember or has been recorded, women have been seen as 'less than' men.  It's not a strictly absolute condition, and varies in detail from place to place and from historic era to historic era, but generally about all the societies in my world are made for and run by men.  Granted, over the last, i dunno, century or so, as we've become more technologically savvy, relationships between men and women have started to become more equal, but there's still a LONG way to go.    So, to sum up, there are some men in my world who believe that women aren't as important as they are, so they can do what they want to women.   Even terrible thngs."
She looked at Jade, almost apologetically
"So, while Earth doesn't have 'manticores' or whatever, we DO have 'monsters'.   They're just other people "

"Ah so shadow earth, is more like Amber and much less like Rebma where the women rule. We don't really do horrible things to men though in Rebma. Mercy is often offered if there is an option for it. The Queen of Rebma was very angry at King Random as was most of Rebma and it could have turned out bad for him. Instead he was put into a marriage with a Rebman noblewoman to make up for his misdeeds. He is now happily married to his Queen Vialle."

She smiled happily.

"There is equality between our kingdoms."

Ariadne nodded, not quite understanding but not wanting to judge
"We've still got a ways to go, I'm afraid.   I'm trying to help it a bit, but I'm just one person. "

"You are so much more then one person, your an Amber royal." Jade stood proudly then flashed Ariadne a smile.

"Why don't you buy a few things for yourself ?"

Walks out with a bunch of clothes to put in the carriage. She then heads back in to the shop.

Jade discussed things with Odile to pick up some things for herself and did not accept no as an answer. She made sure that Odile got some nice dresses and accessories for herself.

Ariadne picked up a nice scarf and some comfortable looking boots, not wanting to over indulge since Jade had offered to pay

Jade stopped at a few places picking up several shoes and boots.

"Ariadne please feel free to get some nice things. Your a princess too you know. Though I believe you will need to wear your mothers coronet as I don't think such a thing could be gained anywhere in the city."

Ariadne blinked in confusion
"Wait, what?  They want me to wear a coronet??  Like an actual crown of some sort?"

"You would look great with one, haven't you thought about it ?"

Jade blinked surprised at the reaction of her cousin.

In reply to Jade (msg # 29):

Ariadne chuckled
"Well, I've worn a few crowns and tiaras in my time, but never unironically "

"Don't worry about it ! Stick with me and I will have you the bell of the ball." Jade smiled and helped pick out things for Ariadne. Trying to find things that will make her striking looks stand out, and enhance them in latest Amber fashion.

Ariadne smirked, indicating that being "the belle of the ball" wasnot really her style, but she didn't discourage her vivacious cousin from helping her.
Sheblooked for something dark but stylish.   If it had to be a dress, she warned something that moved easily, still a bit stressed about the recent attacks

"We might need a seamstress to make something special just for you, or we could look and see something more male in styling ? Though I must admit I don't know if we have the same fabrics as the kind that make up your pantaloons. Perhaps we can find something in some of the foreign shadow shops ?" Jade looked like she felt bad suggesting it.

Ariadne smiled at her helpful cousin
"There's no need to feel bad, Jade.  You're doing great so far.  I'm just not used to this.  And while i might prefer some 'pantaloons', I'm not really set on male clothes just for the sake of having male clothes.   On Earth, very feminine clothes....."
She frowned, searching for words
"Dressing in very feminine clothes, more often than not, came with certain social expectations, that were a callback to more oppressive times for women.  Things are definitely better than they used to be, but many of those old fashioned ideas are still ingrained in society where I'm from"
Then she sighed with smiled wryly
"But this is a totally different society, so if you'd like to help me acclimate, I'd definitely appreciate it.
I'm just needing to unlearn a lot of things "

Jade's smile turned warm, "Well, a more experienced Princess told me. To be the perfect princess, just be yourself and avoid diplomatic incidents. So you could dress however you like, you might even start a new fashion trend. As for worrying about oppression, yes there is some of that in places. Though I have a feeling you know how to put anyone who oppresses you back in their place." She nods emphatically.

"I am rather glad that I have you and Odile with me, and if the guards want to protect us too, I say all the power to them. I know we are from different worlds literally but I hope we are able to find some common ground too."

"I know shoes, let's go shoe shopping."

Ariadne smiled warmly as well
"I am definitely feeling very much like someone from another world, I'll admit.   But i know we have more in common than not"

Jade nods to her cousin.
"Most definitely.  Even more so  when you walk the Pattern.  Then doorways open for us." with this she smiles.

She makes sure Odile and everyone is ready and has the carriage head to the cobblers.

"I am rather looking forward to see and experience your world.  We could ride motor bicycles together once I learn how."

Ariadne nodded with a grin
"I would definitely love to see that.  You'd look seriously cute in a biker outfit "

Jade tilted her head a bit.

"Is it hard to learn ? OH ! there are specific outfits for it, that is interesting." She smiled imagining something she had never seen before and most definitely not a motorcycle in her head.

Ariadne shrugged, smiling lazily
"Specific Outfits might be overstating it a bit, but when riding a motorcycle you usually should dress for comfort as much as for style, and the outfits need to be a bit more practical and, to an extent, more aerodynamic than a frilly and poofy dress.  We'll be traveling much, Much faster than a horse can run, after all.    So, while I've seen women in dresses, or at least flowing skirts, for a casual ride, the serious rider usually wears pants, usually made of durable leather or denim, and a tough jacket for warmth."

She thought for a moment
"It can be challenging to learn, but if you can learn 'magic',..."
The way Ariadne said "magic" seemed to imply, despite her efforts to the contrary, that part of her brain still wanted to believe that magic wasn't real.and there was an reasonable explanation for everything so far.
"If you can learn magic, you should have no trouble with motorcycles "

Her eyes sparkle, "Faster then a horse, oh my. That sounds exciting. Is it as fast as an automobile ? Now I have to try to learn."

"I am learning to ride horses better. Jon is going to help me with that. We don't have much use for horses below the waves."

Seeing the cobblers she has the coachmen stop.

"Yes, I imagine a dress especially a hoop dress is out. Here we are they have wonderful shoes here."

Ariadne nodded
"Ah, okay, i didn't know that you were familiar with automobiles.    Basically, a motorcycle is a two wheeled automobile.    It takes more skill, but it's a  similar idea"

"Well, I have seen a picture of one, and they have one in a museum in the city here. Prince Julian's dogs tore off it's bumper. They must be fast to outrun Prince Julian's horse. So then it is a big bicycle ?"

Jade nodded taking that information in.
"Yes, I shall have to try it. It sounds fun and exciting."

Nodding, Ariadne joined her cousin, still unable to stop herself from gawking around
"It's considered a bit of an acquired taste, but i certainly like it.  "

She looked around the shop, never having been in an authentic cobblers shop before.

"Hi Mr. Blake !" Jade says seeing her old friend and owner of the shop.

"You will never guess what happened !" Jade spins around.

"I'm a Princess, and this is my cousin Ariadne, daughter of Princess Dierdre. Isn't that incredible."

Jade was in high spirits and all sunshine smiles to old friends.

Mr. Blake bows deeply to Ariadne. "I could not have guessed, last week, that such a thing was possible, it is true," he says. "Welcome, Princess Ariadne, daughter of Deirdre."

Jade notices the interaction. Wow, they really did love Princess Deirdre.

She smiled to Mr. Blake, "We are in need of your wonderful services. Were putting together new wardrobes."

Shows Mr. Blake the royal writ for their purchases.

"Certainly, milady. What will you be requiring...?"

Jade looked over at the shoes here.

"We need to find shoes to go with out clothes. Our colors are similar so it should be fairly easy. May we look at your stock, and I can show you some of the clothes we already purchased, so you can help us pick the perfect pairs of shoes."

"I would like flats, as well as the height enhancing heels you have."

"Of course, milady." Mr. Bright helps however he can.

Ariadne notes that since nothing is mass-produced and everything is hand-made, the shop's range of merchandise feels very limited compared to Earth as far as sizes, but the quality is excellent on each item shown.

To put it another way, everything's beautiful and super well-made, but a poor woman with irregular-sized anything is going to be rather out of luck.

Fortunately, Ariadne is not a poor woman, and her feet do not qualify as being "unusually-sized."

Hopes Odile isn't abnormally sized.

Jade will make sure Odile gets some nice shoes as well.

Ariadne feels a bit self conscious at being referred to in such a lofty manner, but smiled politely and was very friendly (as she was to most retail workers she encountered)
She noted the lack of selection, but was impressed with the apparent quality of the merchandise
"I'll need some fashionable, i suppose, but it's even more important that it be comfortable and that I'm able to move around quickly in them"

Odile's feet are slightly on the small side, but perfectly ordinarily-sized.

"Of course, milady," says Mr. Blake, looking Ariadne over in a professional manner. "I can see that you are... a woman of action."

Ariadne frowned in confusion, not sure if she was just given a back handed compliment, like being called a "sturdy woman" or something, but she smiled politely, hoping that it was another cultural misunderstanding

The way Jade smiled it was clear Jade thought it was a compliment.

She picked things out and let Ariadne talk with Mr. Blake.

She spoke with Odile while trying on different pairs.

Ariadne looked around at what they had for options

Jade hummed to herself as she flitted about checking the different shoes. Walking a bit in them and selecting a couple of shoes that would look good on her.

Remembering her own Pattern walk she speaks with Odile and selects some to add to what she had.

Ariadne commissioned some sturdy boots that were fit to be comfortable for a long walk.

Ariadne looked at Jade with a grin

"I have GOT to take you shopping on Earth at a mall.  You'll either be overwhelmed with wonder or horrified by the gaudiness.  I'm not sure which"

"A mall ? is it like a bizarre ?"

She smiles, "I do like to shop."

Ari nodded
"Yes, i suppose it is like that.  Think of one with dozens, if not hundreds, of shops, each with hundreds of individual items for immediate sale.  We don't have as many custom made items."

"Oh, how do your crafts people produce so much yet no custom made things are made. Almost everything is custom made here, though because of visitors from the golden circle trade here is a major thing."

Ariadne shrugged and smiled sheepishly
"Admittedly, the overall quality in each piece of merchandise is probably much lower than a custom made piece, when things are mass produced in  large numbers.
Custom work is still done in places, but most of my people have gotten away from the time and expense involved"

Jade gets a sort of odd look on her face then whispered, "Your people don't use slave labor do you ?"

Ariadne had the grace to look uncomfortable
"Not slave labor, but I'll admit that many countries don't compensate their workers and craftspeople as much as they should.  I try to support ones that are, what we call "fair trade" goods.  But I'll admit that industry has run a bit rampant on my world".
She frowned uncomfortably, wondering if, now that she was some kind of extredimensional magical princess or whatever, perhaps she could do more about that

Jade nods understanding.

"I just don't know a lot about your world, so I asked because of what you said of goods. Some shadows have slavery, some don't. I can tell my question upset you, I hope not badly."

Ariadne nodded glumly
"I love my world, and am very proud of it and its accomplishments, but it's had slavery during the much of its long history.    My own country had it in places less tha 200 years ago.   And there are still plenty of inequalities and even abuses that still go on.  I've actually worked to help out some of the groups that need help and support, but i guess i was also distracted having fun as well.  Maybe that will need to change.  A 'princess's duty to the people', and all that"

Jade listens, "Don't take on the failings of others. Their faults are not yours. As you say you are a Princess now and I believe we all should have the power to make changes."

"I even know that we can find shadows that we can rule. So you might be able to work with aunt Florimel."

Ariadne looked almost scandalized
"Wait...rule as in, like, just go to some other world and just, you know, take over???   I mean, 'shadow' means another world, right?
But you people just go to other worlds and take over the place??"

"As it has been described we find the world we are looking for. We find a world where we already rule. It was described to me as being that way. I don't think we march an army in and take over but I suppose some might do that."

Ari looked confused
"Wait, what?  A world where we already rule??  What does that mean?  Are you saying that there is a world out there just waiting around for me to show up?"
Ariadne had a weird flash of a world with a crowded castle throne room with hundreds of people waiting around, with drinks and refreshments, and a banner hanging from the ceiling that said "WELCOME QUEEN ARIADNE!!!", which was drooping and dusty, as were all the people, obviously having had waited for a long time.
One lady in waiting whining "Dad!!  When is she gonna GET here???"

Jade nodded emphatically.

"Yes, that is how I had it described to me. It is strange but I defer to the older Princesses who know better then myself."

Ariadne made a face, like she was tasting something sour
"I guess this is another one of those cultural things I'll need time to understand "

"Don't worry, we are all learning, this is new to everyone of us, save for Ballad and the older royals. We will get the hang of it."

Ariadne sighed with amused annoyance
"It's almost like a bad joke.  I was reaching near to the top of my profession back home, and felt my life was perfect and would be for years.   Then two grey jackholes try to break into my father's house, and suddenly everything is different, like as in 'Everything i Thought I Knew' different, and i had to start all over again with learning "

"Life is a constant striving to learn. If we knew everything what would be the point then ?" Jade smiles.

Ariadne chuckled
"I dunno....being able to rest on one's laurels would be a nice change.    I feel like I've spent years fighting tooth and nail to get to the top of my metaphorical hill, only to be told that it's just another molehill next to lots of actual mountains.   It's almost a bit discouraging, to be honest, but i suppose i was getting lazy and complacent in my old life...."
She paused with a roll of her eyes, ruefully amused by how she was starting to think about Earth as "her old life"
"And perhaps a new challenge is what i need "

"That's the spirit ! You have a new goal already !"

"You even have a minor goal of teaching me about autobicycles."

Ariadne laughed, smiling warmly
"Motorcycles, but yes, you're right.   Time to honor my mother's memory, i suppose "

"Ah motorcycle, that does seem easier to say." Jade enjoys saying the word repeating it to herself a couple of times.

"Your mom was well loved, I am sure you will find your place here. We shall all get to make our mark." She gave a confident smile.

Ariadne shook her head, grinning
"Definitely big shoes to fill.  I know that and i know almost nothing about her, especially her life here "

"You could ask around, I am sure there are some servants that worked for her in the castle."

Jade nods, "Yes, I think that would help you out quite a bit, and also you could speak with Odile, she most likely knew your mother as well."

Ariadne shook her head
"Modt of the serving staff we've seen look fairly young.  They probably would have been children when she was here last, I'll bet"

"Hold on a moment, Odile did you know Princess Deirdre ? Or any of the servants who worked for her ?"

Jade knew people were very long lived and so was curious herself.

Ariadne frowned, not sure how the young serving girl would have known her mother

"No, I wish I did! I've heard all about her! But I'm afraid I'm about as old as I look! Some servants in the castle do, though!"

 Ariadne nodded, thinking about how awkward it might be to look up one of the older servants in the castle

"Here we go, we should be able to find you some armor here, if you prefer leather, well we would have to look elsewhere though I don't know where."

Ariadne shrugged, looking around curiously
"I'll be honest, I'm not actually used to wearing real armor.  I've worn armor in a couple of martial arts movies, but it just false armor that was made to look real, but probably didn't have nearly the same weight or bulkiness of the real stuff.  Something leathery makes sense, since that's probably lighter and offers more freedom of movement.  But I'm not an expert. "

"Jon, why don't you help. Leather armor is something you know more about. Though I think Ariadne would look good in breastplate and greaves."

Jade helps Ariadne try on any armor that might be about her size.

*nods* "Leather armor and its variants are light weight and pretty durable.  They don't offer as much protection as Breastplate, Chain mail, half or full plate, but leather is also easier to care for." *smiles* "I like brigandine armor, myself.  It is relatively light weight, but has overlapping plates for protection." he looks around the shop and finds a set that might work. "Ari, check this out"

Ari looked on with interest
'I'll admit that I'm more worried about armor to protect me from those grey jerks, frankly "

*nod* "But you have find a balance.  It will also depend on what weapon and fighting style you plan to use.  Your Armor can affect that."  he moves over to a full plate "Look at the arms, see how they are jointed?  That would limit your range of motion.  So if you are going with a kinetic style with lots of big moves, Plate can possibly hinder that." *smiles* "Which is why, your instinct to look for something like leather or studded leather or even the brigadine is good.  Trust your insticts." looks around "Back home, the Rangers have 2 - 3 sets of armor.  A general / travel set, a Military set and some have a Ceremonial set.  So let's start with something that feels right to you."

Ariadne chuckled
"That's kind of hilarious, to be honest.    I need to get a few sets of clothes for different occasions, and i need armor for different social events as well"

"It's like parade armor. It looks very pretty but is not so good for protection." Jade tries to explain to Ariadne.

Ariadne smirked
"Do you people really wear armor to parties and such?"

"At some events yes. Does your world not have a military ?" Jade asks.
A curious look coming over her face as she regards Ariadne.

Ariadne grinned and shrugged
"Our military has dress uniforms for formal functions, but we've moved away from armor, for the most part.   We have bullet proof vests, but they're too bulky for a dress uniform."
Something seemed to occur to her.
"Am i considered part of the military?"

Jade shrugs, "I am not entirely sure."

She has no one else to look to for a more informed reply.

Ariadne smirked in thought
"I'm the royal family of many countries seem to always join their countries military, I guess to help support their country "

Jon *shrugs* "I don't know what our status is."  *nods* to Jade "She is correct about the parade armor.  It is typically better than nothing. But you don't necessarily need more than one set of armor.  I have two, what I wear normally when I am out in the woods and military set, which is similar but with a bit more chain arm.  And I like the style I showed you, so I might pick that up for here, if they can accent it in gold. So that would be my 3rd."  He looks around for am armor stand for sale "You will probably want to get an armor stand as well.  So you can keep it out of the way and clean."

Ari nodded, eyes narrowed in thought
"Yes, something made of leather, with perhaps a few metal plates here and there for protection from stabby bad guys?"

Jade nods

"Sounds good to me and the black color I think, would look good on you."
She will help Ariadne try it on and ask her, "So, how does it feel ? It shouldn't weigh too much."

Ariadne, with the help of the armor shop attendant, tried on the leather armor with metal inserts
She did some martial arts kicks and lunges (being careful not to knock anything over)
"This feels pretty good, actually "

If Ari wishes, Jon will help her put the armor on. "Good choice" *smiles*

Shows the shopkeep the royal writ to cover for the cost of the armor.
She will also see what kind of weapons he has and if he has a nice rapier she will purchase that so she could return Jon's sword to him.

Ariadne chuckled
"As long as it stops those grey goobers, I'm happy with it "

Jade laughs, "Style matters as much as substance cousin." She gave Ariadne a big smile.

"I say it looks good on you."

Ariadne grinned playfully
"I'm as much about style as the next gal, but I'm more worried about protection.   Granted, i don't want to look a total dork."

*Nods* "this should do well, we will you the matching bracers and greaves and you should be set."  he asks the shop keeper about a set with gold gold accents and was told it will take a couple of weeks.  *nods* "That is fine."  He then joins Jade in looking at weapons.  "Jade, I would be pleased if you would keep the rapier.  Consider it a gift of friendship and companionship."

"Isn't this your fathers ? I would not want to deprive you of it."
She looked into his eyes uncertain but nods thankfully.

Ariadne picked up some comfortable but sturdy bracers

"There we go, shall we return to Bloody Mary's now ?"

Ariadne nodded, feeling at least vaguely productive
"I could definitely go.for more crab puffs"

Jade heads back with the others.

"Yes, that does look good on you, black is your color."

Ariadne grinned
"What do you mean ?  Every color is my color"

"Oh ! You've let this royal thing go straight to your head." She smiled teasingly.

"Come along Prince Jon, we may need to take a pin to inflated egos."

Ariadne laughed and followed her cousins

*smiles* "Yes, it was my father's, but it will be better served in your hands than mine." *nods* "Besides, it looks good on you."
*Chuckles* at the two's teasing "More Crab Puffs does sound good."  He follows Jade and Ari back to Bloody Mary's
