Re: OOC Thread 3: OOC With A Vengeance
In reply to Lance (msg # 868):
It’s a good run. There are some good paths, steep inclines, and the footing is decent. During the run, Lance spooks a few game birds from nearby underbrush, and he sees some wildlife. The air is amazingly clean and he feels like he could run forever, but he doesn’t want to overdo it, as he wanted to be fresh for dance practice. Still, he makes more miles than he intended, perhaps eight. Theee quarters of the way back he stops to bathe in a small pool of ice cold snowmelt that has gathered under a ledge, it’s excess running off down the mountainside.
The pool isn’t deep, perhaps two feet, and only about six feet in diameter. It’s cold, refreshing, and amazingly pure. Lance notes it’s location for future runs. Having seen nobody within sight, he skinny dips it, dressing hastily after his quick clean up. Still nobody around. Good. He walks the last bit back at a relaxed pace. The views were magnificent, and he takes them in.
