THE CLOCK THREAD
THIS is The Clock Thread.
Sometimes, when you roll and get a result of 6 or lower, the GM will ADVANCE THE CLOCK.
See this clock?
GRAY MEN ACTIVITY:
8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1
This is a countdown clock with 8 segments.
When this clock counts all the way down from 8 to 7 to 6 to 5 to 4 to 3 to 2 to 1... and then when 1 is gone?
SOMETHING BAD WILL HAPPEN.
For this particular clock, when it runs out of segments, specifically, THE GRAY MEN WILL CAUSE TROUBLE (or do their best to try it, anyway).
When they come, they will come wherever the person is who made the final 1 go away, wherever that is. (If it turns out that's you... hope you're not alone when it happens!)
If you do things to try to figure out how to thwart the Gray Men (and then succeed in your thwartations), segments may be ADDED BACK ON to the clock.
If you do that while the clock has ALL EIGHT segments, you may defuse that particular clock forever.
But as you can see hinted by looking at the clock up there, RIGHT NOW GUESS WHAT LANCE JUST KNOCKED OFF #8.
