Re: OOC
Do you mind if I create a little map for our battle? I'm so used to using them. how large is the room we are in?

Re: OOC
I don't really use maps because trying to keep track of the exact measurements of everything only slows down the gameplay unless the combat space is extremely cramped.

That said, it's a fairly large courtyard, large enough that most characters who aren't running need 3 turns to cross it.

I am unsure of what to do at this point. I just dont have a good idea for a forward step other then just do the training and wait a few days.

Sorry, that one was on me. I have a couple characters tying up loose ends and I wanted to think for a bit before continuing.

Gonna poke here in the OOC for those in the land of the dead. Morien's asking for a vote here, pretty much.

I'm perfectly comfortable for you to just railroad us into the next scene. Jessie hasn't gotten to do much so far.

Re: OOC
Welcome Zeno. People woke from the dead, players fought a werewolf and a hag. Some trained villagers in self defense and warfare.

But I, I had the most interesting talk with Tavi on hill by a campfire. That's about all I have done so far.

Zen, did you have poison blood in another game? You seem super familiar.

The three days later thread is the current thread. Once Zenobia has introduced herself and everyone exits, I'll be making a new (1.0.0) thread to start the adventure.

However, just a head's up for all those playing Valkyr. As I've mentioned before, the special powers Valkyr get come at the cost of being harder to revive (Morien is the only one capable of reviving Valkyr) so this is where that downside comes into play. All of you can revive Arashi or Tavi (who are the only male characters who have posted recently) 1/day, but you can't revive each other.

This has nothing to do with anything currently happening, just a reminder from the GM.

Give me about ten levels and Ill be able to bring your backsides back if I can get to you within an hour. Revive undead was an awesome spell. XD

Re: OOC
I, however, plan on dieing a lot at some point. I am stuck with the mental image of being forced to stay alive as a giant dire were-sloth one night to fight a bunch of something.

Re: OOC
I had my Sage familiar roll Knowledge on Baba Yaga rolled a 1 so an 8 total. So the creature is explaining how Morien is wrong about Baba Yaga existing. Felt appropriate.

Manofdusk:
The group made their preparations and began their journey. The first few days mattered little. The journey was primarily south either way, but a fork in the road soon presented them with a choice.

The map they had said that the eastern path would take them to a port, where they could likely buy passage across the shores, bypassing most of Qu-Len. The other path lead south, where they would need to cross two mountain ranges and three rivers on their trek through the wooded nation of the elves.

Of course, there was always a risk that no one would take them if they went to the port, so they'd waste at least a week's travel on foot.

OOC: okay, choice time! Do you want a moderate sized nautical adventure or a hike across two mountain ranges and through the hostile wilderness of the elves?

Jessie does not have ranks in swim. I mean, as an undead she doesn't breathe, eat or sleep...BUT STILL!

Re: OOC
I once ran a monk who critically failed three swim checks in a row in a nautical adventure.

He was dragged into an underwater cave and was separated from the group for a while, where he met a Choker who took up residence in his backpack.

Did he also wear it as a necklace on occasion?

Re: OOC
Well i dont want the nautical adventure as a player. Espically as an archer. Ill go with the consensus.

Ill post an in character statement about it after work in 13 hours or so but id prefer others weigh in before I do. I dont want to have the fact i play the high general make someones opinion moot.

Actually I'm quite fine with whatever choice we go with. I know Arashi tends to have a one track mind when it comes to things but I'm a lot more "go with the flow".

Iím the strange newcomer in the merry band, so Iíd rather not go against the consensus.
This being said, hiring a boat trip seems like a much simpler option than hiking through two mountain ranges!
