The Dew Drop Inn - OOC Chatter Part 2

Looks right to me Harry!

And yes, ...or tracked separately on the Dog info tracker sheet.

Mind ran ahead of my typing.

I'm good with the supply shuffle presented.

Also good with having it be tracked in the public thread, just makes things easier.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn - OOC Chatter Part 2

Okay, 1 broken gun noted.  Its repair is a low priority, it might be worth something to someone though, I always imagine machined gun parts are a "cash" equivalent in the world of Hell on Earth because you can't exactly go to the gun store now can you.

18:39, Today: Kelly MacLeod rolled 5,1 using d6,d6, rerolling max with rolls of 5,1.  Supply Roll.

So that's a success... I don't really use very much ammo, so I'm willing to contribute whatever that gets us for more spook juice or ammo.  Or if Fletcher needs parts to rig up a shield...

Re: The Dew Drop Inn - OOC Chatter Part 2

Ok, getting caught up!

Yes, I have the rifle and the pistol as of the end of last time/the big battle.

What I'd like?  A scope for the rifle, maybe a silencer too (pistol or rifle).  And more bullets of course (though I've got enough for now since use the x-bow mostly).  A gun cleaning kit?  Otherwise, will just make some more bolts for the x-bow.  And I don't think those are scavenging kind of things?  Beyond that, I think he's mostly ok.  If people want to use my scavenging for something the group needs, I'm good with that.

Beyond about to be horribly traumatized by being back on that hell hole...

Re: The Dew Drop Inn - OOC Chatter Part 2

Dean - Supply check for the Rifle Scope.  Lockesburg has a lot of hunting rifles and you are a Big Damn Hero so they might just part with it.

Take your free Scavenging check though, Notice +2.

Kelly - I'm gonna say your Supply roll was a Scavenging Roll (Notice +2), which gets a 7 and bumps her Supply die to D8.

I'll sort through all the rolls and clean up the Supplies and Cargo.

Now!  UP AND AT'EM, GRUNTS!  THOSE GODDAMN PURPLE ALIENS AIN'T GONNA KILL THEMSELVES.  THIS IS WHAT WE PAY YOU FOR.

You are a Banshee version of yourself in a terrible situation there with no real knowledge or care about the terrible situation of your life here.  It makes sense that you are there with in infantry battle armor, assault rifles with extra ammo, hi-tech ranger Dragoon pistols, etc on an alien world you've never seen (except Dean).  This is where you are and you are about to die at the hands of the restless native alien menace.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn - OOC Chatter Part 2

Dean - That's a Raise!

You get your Scope and I'll give you a Choice.

Keep your D10 Supply die (You got it at such a great deal, cuz they like you, your Supply doesn't drop.)

OR

You can also get the Suppressor, but you drop back down to d8 Supply.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn - OOC Chatter Part 2

Scavenging/Trading/Supply Summary:

Dean - Traded for a scope, waiting for his decision to see where his Supply settles.
Fletcher - Being the best scavenger ever, bumps his twice Supply to d12.
Harry - Ends back at d8, but has secured some .50 cal rounds.
Kelly - Bumps her Supply to d8

Kelly - I'm granting that shield for free.  Buckled or Medium Shield?  Don't know how much of an issue weight is.

Don't forget those Advances and noting them on your sheet to make sure everyone is at 30 with all the Advances they deserve.

If you want to buy anything else, ammo, what not.  Give me a Supply Check and we'll wheel and deal.

The end of whatever the hell is going on on Banshee marks the end of the trading and supply opportunities.  FOR NOW.

Re: The Dew Drop Inn - OOC Chatter Part 2

Cool I'll sit on that and wait until I can go for a significantly good item

Medium Shield is good, I honestly don't think I have a weight problem (yet) because my armor is so limited, but I'll check it later, but this is why the Riot Shield exists, that may be a necessary Next Upgrade if I ever want better armor.

Edit: Okay maybe if you add it up strictly by RAW I have a problem, but seriously look at this:
Shield - 12
Improvised armor - 5 (it's pretty light bc honestly it sucks but mejor que nada)
sword - 8 (should be half of that, swords meant to be used 1 handed weigh 4 pounds at most)
Lever Action Rifle - 12 (seriously wtf, a 12 pound lever action rifle better be throwing .75 caliber slugs, the whole point of the lever action rifle and why people still use it is that it's lightweight, a Marlin 336 is like 7 pounds tops)

Anyway I would argue Kelly certainly can't feasibly add anything else without upgrading something to lighter gear or dropping something, but that's your call!

21:42, Today: Kelly MacLeod rolled 22,33,12,12 using d35,d35,d35,d35, rerolling max with rolls of 22,33,12,12.  Cheeps.

So whitex2, red, blue

One more edit:  It's been freaking forever since I Even looked at Lost Colony, what kind of CQB weapons did they even have?  Knives obviously but anything else?

Everything in SW is heavy.  Maybe to discourage characters from being loaded for bear all the time.

Though interestingly stuff seemed to have gotten lighter in the new edition.

Kelly should absolutely have a laser cutter.  Which is described as being "like a cheese cutter"

https://i.pinimg.com/originals...aa3c66017fcbb921.jpg

but has a 4ft blade made of a laser instead of a wire.

I felt the laser cutter for Kelly, too...  Or a tannis-stone sword-ax, the chakatl.

Or just go full Colonial Ranger with a Dragoon.

It's just a dream.  Probably...  Anyway, have fun with it!

Fletcher - Thanks for kicking it off!

Ha, nice

I'll be honest Lost Colony is my least favorite thing they ever made I think I read the original rules once and I mostly know about the Anouks and the Oath of Unity, but any of the material from the actual game set on Faraway is just sort of a blur to me

I think you missed the skill roll, Kelly. We're supposed to be rolling a skill (at -4 due to the situation) to represent our actions in this encounter and the potential outcomes.

Agreed on the camper.

An old, patched up mini camper/teardrop trailer.  Enough room for two cots/bed areas.  Maybe a storage hatch/trunk on the outside of one end.

Basically a hard wall, largish tent.  With a door on each side.

The trailer is 48 feet of flatbed cargo area.  Camper probably has a 10 foot foot print or so.  Still alot of room.

I feel like I used to know this...

But a Templar's lay on hands won't do a damn thing for Harry will it, I don't think it's ever affected Harrowed in any edition of the game.

The mundane healing skill might, even though he's dead he's still a corpse in places and knowing how those corpse parts are supposed to go might count for something...

Probably not, since Harry isn't wounded to begin with...he's just got a level of Fatigue, which will fade on its own.

Well I mean in general.  I think I actually do have the succor power on my list, but I could be wrong (and it doesn't matter because I don't know it anyway).

Technically you'd probably need proper surgery equipment to help a cyborg above and beyond whatever the SRU can do, but that's beside the point.

The Healing power works on Cyborgs at an additional -2 penalty.

Greater Healing works at no penalty.

You can also use the Healing skill, but you have to have Repair at an equal or higher die type or suffer a -2 penalty.  You also need Components just as if the cyborg was using its SRU.

lol THANK YOU I was literally about to reach for the book to see what it said.  For some reason I thought Lay on Hands specifically didn't work on Harrowed, but maybe my brain is confused because too many editions in my head.

So I sort of had the right idea on the mundane healing.

The Dew Drop Inn - OOC Chatter Part 2

Just a quick list of courses of action I saw suggested -

-Harry and Fletcher might try to cobble something up to speak to the Driver.

-Crowboy and possible others might go ask about to see if anyone else in the caravan had a bad night

-Any other things need tendin' to?

Dean (and other Arcane Background sorts) - I have stated that you can use your AB skill as a basic SENSE WEIRD within their particular branches of weirdness.

-Sykers can also pick up on passive empathic readings at times and psychic resonances.

-Junkers can hear the whispers of tech spirits

-Templars can get a sense of supernatural, spiritual good and evil

That sort of thing.
