The abandoned building is about three blocks from the Aztechnology facility.  Oni's barely out  of view from the gate guards when he crushes the padlock on the door in the hand of his cyberarm, as quietly as possible, and lets himself in.

The greater structure of the building is brick and ferricrete, but inside walls, floors and ceilings of wood and sheetrock are collapsing and decaying.  The sewer entrance isn't hard to spot - it's right below you, through a hole in what passes for the floor.

Oni will leave a GPS or marker on the entrance (just in case) as he makes his way down the entrance, eyes adjusting to the surroundings, the small golden lights of his eyes dimming in case of unexpected company. The smell is horrible, but tolerable compared to being stuck in the Aztechnology building without a backup escape plan. He makes his way through the tunnels, keeping watch for hatches or openings that would coincide with the target, using GPS 2.3(?) and city diagrams...

You're pretty sure the pipe that leads to the facility is just around the corner but... that smell is more than just foul... it's distressingly familiar.  That's not just sewage, but rotting flesh.  Somewhere nearby, something is moving.  Something much bigger and more dangerous than a rat....

In the shadows of the sewer behind Oni lurk three ghouls, blind, unfortunate humans infected with HMHVV and hungry for metahuman flesh.  Another two are are ahead of you, about to spring out of nowhere and sink their claws into your flesh.

You, however, are never caught off guard {Situational Awareness} and can act before any of the abominations jump you.

Oni grips Naga tight as she sprays the tunnels ahead with deadly flechettes.  The sleek custom SMG has already spat deadly steel needles in just the right spot even before the targets leap out.  Two ghouls spring forth only to catch shards of hard steel in the face.  They flop to the floor and writhe as the paralytic neurotoxin takes effect even as Oni whirls to face the assailants behind him.

Oni gives three quick, focused bursts, ending their suffering quickly. As he checks his surroundings, his hands instinctively begin reloading Naga.

The soft chattering spray of metal from Oni's SMG abruptly ends, just a moment sooner than he might have liked, leaving four of the five ghouls collapsed in a bloody mess.

Oni quickly tosses one serpentine clip aside and makes to click the next securely in place from his sleeve to his weapon, but as he does so, the remaining ghoul lunges toward him, a flurry of dirty claws and rotten teeth.

What do you do?

Thinking fast, Oni drops Naga and instead draws his gleaming, dikoted katana.  A measured step backwards into a ready stance keeps him away from the ghoul's bite for the moment, but not out of danger.

Oni calculates the perfect strike to end this fight - but it comes just a moment too slow to end the ghoul's reckless charge.  One hand sinks into his side, driving dirty claws into his flesh through the armor-lined coat.

A textbook-perfect slice puts the razor sharp blade through the ghoul's torso, and it collapses to the mucky sewer floor.  Oni flicks the diseased blood from his blade and listens for any sign of others in the tunnels.  After several quiet moments, he sheathes it once again.

You have taken 4 points of damage.  Barring magic or special equipment such as a Medic Patch, there is not enough time to heal them before the run commences.  You have successfully scouted the sewers in the vicinity of the facility and located the egress from the building's sub-basement.
