Re: OOC Cantina

Establishing yourself as part of the crew can happen at the next planet you arrive at and dock with, so the droids will be of no concern. Really it just locks you into picking one of the adventures and going there, rather than going Somewhere Completely Different. :P

So which quest would we like to go on, gang?

I'm glad you escaped that. I don't think the slave bikini would be flattering on you.

My vote is for the live transport so we don't have to worry about keeping it alive

Re: OOC Cantina

I think the key to the slave bikini is confidence and it's just not Bril's kinda power outfit.

Bril would vote for the space station cause it seems like the easiest way to make some cash and get the ship registered properly.

*nods* So that's one for the electronic components and one for the person in stasis. Zindra, any thoughts?

I think I can pull it off, but we're in trouble if I have to find it out.

Live transport, I'd say. That could be a person in trouble.

Re: OOC Cantina

Off-colour comment, aside, I'm not overly fussy about where we go.  Just get us into some action and rolling dice.

While I'm here, is this going to be a strictly non Force Sensitive game?  Either will make for a good story, just wondering what folks plans are for their characters.

If someone wants to pick up Force Exile, I wouldn't be opposed. We did have one for a while while Amaya was here, but I think she's disappeared for good. Last login was as recently as May, but last post was November.

It may not look like it, but I really am writing a post. It's just been taking me a heckin' long time to do so, and I keep changing what I wanna present. I'm definitely here, though.

Re: OOC Cantina

Hi, hello, yes. I am still preparing a pew pew, but expected more player discussion about what order you'd like to go in in response to this attack. Also I am generally not very good with vehicle rules, and heck am I having a hard time with this.

Re: OOC Cantina

I'll let you decide her current speed, and it's easy enough to take the controls from Captain RX. You have magic PC powers.

Sounds good! I just spent some of my XP from our last session on a couple talents too so it doesn't catch you off guard.

Re: OOC Cantina

Hello again, my dear players. I've been away on one of those "I took too long away and now the longer it gets the harder it is to show my face again" breaks. My takeaway is that Edge of the Empire is, as the GM, rather frustrating and complicated to run. It's far heavier than my normal fare, and I knew that going in because I've already run it a few times before. The hope was that it would be easier with my experience and having looked into how others handle it. Unfortunately, I still have enough trouble that it turned me off from posting for, um... Ten months? However, I like all the players and I like all the characters, so I don't want to be away forever. As such, I see a few ways forward.

-We could continue as we were and just pick up where we left off. It wouldn't likely go much better than before, but it would also require the least transition.

-I could finish piecing together Star Wars rules using the Cortex Prime game system, modeled after the Firefly RPG. It's experimental and would take a little more time, but I had a good time when a friend ran a Clone Wars game for us using Firefly itself.

-We could swap out EotE for one of the other existing Star Wars rule sets, D6 or D20. They each have their flaws, but they're also established and ready to go.

-Savage Worlds? Fate?

Also, all this depends on how you, the players, are feeling. If you're up for continuing even after such a long disappearance from me, that'll make these options make a lot more sense than if this game is ready to be set down and packed up.

So how is everyone feeling?

Eager to get started. I've played D6 and D20, Savage worlds a bit less; I own Firefly but I've never played it.
