S1E1 - Intermission

Captain Jalmac was gone, the crew had recovered their ship, and the Fines were far behind them now. Things might be okay.

S1E1 - Intermission

As per usual, after combat Iaarkahr went to his room briefly to calm down from the adrenaline rush and he had previously broadly hinted that it wouldn't be the wisest of ideas to disturb him during these times.  Soon enough, however, he emerged a much calmer Wookie who suggested, "Let's see what loot / cargo / valuables our previous captain has conveniently left behind."

S1E1 - Intermission

Zindra popped out of hiding from behind the crate, holstering her slugthrower when she saw the captain was gone. "Um, hiya. My name's Zindra. I take it you were the crew the Captain was trying to kill?" she said, embarrassed.

S1E1 - Intermission

As Bril watched Kahr disappear into his quarters, returned his blaster to it's place under his jacket. The wookiee's post fight ritual made a lot more sense to him now. Before Jalmac, Bril had never fired a blaster at a living target and he heart felt like it was trying to pound its way out of his chest. When Zindra appeared from her hiding space, Bril flinched in shock and reached for his blaster again. The twi'lek stopped when he recognized the mechanic from the spaceport. "Well, uh, kill was just plan B after plan A of selling us into slavery didn't pan out. I thought having a pragmatic Captain would be a good thing when we started this job." Bril paused for a second and scratched his head, "But thanks for keeping an eye on our ship Zindra. I'm Brilk'ain. My friends call me Bril. The big guy is Iaarkahr."

As if summoned by the mention of his name, Iaarkahr returned to the cargo bay.
Iaarkahr:
"Let's see what loot / cargo / valuables our previous captain has conveniently left behind."

"Agreed!" Bril responded, "Kinda funny that we ended up with whatever it was he didn't wanna share with us."

S1E1 - Intermission

Zindra put her forearms and hands up, palms out, when Brilk briefly reached for his blaster. "Hey, I'm on your side! Kinda." she said.
"Nice to meet you Brilk'ain and Iaarkhar!" she added with a cheerful voice, extending her hand to shake. "I'm glad his plan didn't work out."

"You don't need to thank me. It's my job. Well, it was my job. I'm probably in trouble now that I disappeared off the job." she said as she looked into the air, slightly disquieted.

"Any idea what it is we might find here?" she asked curiously.

S1E1 - Intermission

Iaarkahr exits his quarters, minus the axe "Oh hey, the ex-captain hired someone else while we were gone, guess he was pretty confident we weren't coming back."  He turns to the new person, "Welcome to the crew, Zindra, and I think we can agree there will be no more throwing people out airlocks."  He pauses to reflect for a moment then continues, "Well, unless they try to sell us as slaves."

Then, "Indeed, let's see what the 'good' captain didn't want to share with the rest of us."

S1E1 - Intermission

Zindra shook her head and turned around to show off the Dira Spaceport logo on her Jacket. "No, he didn't hire me. I work-worked?-at Dira Spaceport. I was fixing and refueling the ship." she explained.

"Thank you! It's exciting to be here, and I'm glad to know there won't be any slavery or pirate-ing. What was your crew up to?"

S1E1 - Intermission

Bril began looking over the crates in the Thorn's cargo hold, speaking easily as he searched for anything that looked new and interesting, "Honestly, just a cargo run. Though I assumed Jalmac had some extra-legal baggage stashed somewhere or he'd have hired a more experienced pilot."

"And for now it'd be best if we steer clear of Dira for a while. If you show back up with us, you're likely to be arrested before they can officially fire you."
