Re: OOC discussions

How wide is the river at the narrowest point of crossing?

Re: OOC discussions

At the ford it's about 75 metres (250'). There are narrower parts, but those would be harder to cross because of the combination of depth, river bed quality, flow speed etc.

I can see all rolls, secret or not, so that doesn’t matter to me.

Thanks for posting :)

There appears to also be a town on the north bank of the river. Is anybody still there, or have they already fled?

Yes, the other "sister". They've left their homes temporarily. Some made it across to the south sister, some left east.

I'm not sure I'm following you. You think defending at the only ford across the river for 50 km is cynical?

Re: OOC discussions

No. I think the strategy most likely to succeed against a numerically superior enemy is to take everything of value that isn't nailed down, some of the stuff it is, and then put traps everywhere. Yet, those are peoples' houses and peoples' potatoes (or whatever), and landmines are not exactly conducive to long-term habitation. =P

Hi GM, can you tell me what week we are in?
For Rastenos's geas, he should not ride in Death or Fertility weeks.

I know. Sorry.

Anyway, I'm back in town and can increase my posting frequency. Starting this game I announced it would run the three adventures in the RQ:G Game Master's Pack. The last two (Jonstown and the present one) are excursions from that plan. I hope I've not scared everyone away. I'll return to the plan now.

Re: OOC discussions

You don't have to be sorry! The situation is just, literally, anticlimatic.

Now, if a pattern of NPCs doing all the important stuff emerges, then we may have a problem... =P

Re: OOC discussions

To clarify, I think that it's cool and fun when NPCs do some of the important stuff, because that makes the game world feel real and alive. I meant that it's just not fun to be the spectator PC all the time.

The old White Wolf RPGs were particularly bad about that.

Re: OOC discussions

Erina asked the person who shouted about the Elevan Lights what the Eleven Lights were, not just the other PCs.

Since Erina is a Noble and not a priestess, is it dishonorable for her to help with funerary rights?

If we don't already have Loyalty (Queen Leika), do we start at 60% when we gain the Passion, like with gaining Passions during character generation?

Ok, I'll post a reply in the IC thread.

Yes, those who don't have the passion can start it at 60% now.

Of course. I think the "all the time"-feeling is even easier to get in this play-by-forum format, and even easier when we've just had a long summer break. I'll keep that in mind. In a face-to-face game I think the Two Sisters-defence wouldn't have amounted to even a single game session.

Re: OOC discussions

I'm really frustrated about the situation. I also GM a Pendragon game which I'm trying to find a new GM for. I unfortunately put myself on a level that couldn't handle changes in my private life and at my workplace.
