Wow - this is awesome!

We have four players in about two days...very cool.

So a little on the game and me.

It has been a while since I was on RPOL. I ran and played in games from about 2006-2015 when I switched to the job-from-hell and just could not keep up with anything. Having escaped the Pit of Despair, I switched to running (or playing) in Roll20 games. But missed the continual flow of a RPOL play by post...

So I am back! But, as an old fart, I've forgotten a lot of the tricks...like how to give permissions, etc.

So for communal use, if one of you see a problem an know how to fix it, I have no shame in my ignorance...please share here.

Game setting - I am basing this setting on a idea of the Mongols (called the Haan here) having conquered the fragments of a collapsed Empire (think more Ottoman than Charlemagne). The Empire collapsed four-five human generations ago...nearly a mythical age. By the time of the Haan invaders, the Empire had collapsed into a collection of warring feudal states and bandit kingdoms...now known as the Fallen Kingdoms. Although with a better technology and civilization than the horse warriors, the Haan excelled at warfare and were one under the Great Khan. It took but seven years to subdue all of the individual kingdoms.

That was five years ago. Young Haan who have never been in combat are called Unblooded. You are all (the Haan characters) Unblooded and anxious to prove yourselves worthy of being called Haan!  You have joined with some loyal retainers (non-humans) to seek high adventure and glory in the dark corners of the Earth! Fame and fortune and bloody havoc await you!!!

All human characters are Haan - so if you have rolled a human gongfarmer on Purple Sorcerer, sorry, you'll need to re-roll on the Haan occupation list.

Special Setting Rule (to start): At least one of your four 0-levels should be a Human/Haan.
Elves, dwarves, and halflings are residents of the Fallen Kingdoms - while they may have insider knowledge of what is going on, they are second class citizens - granted more freedom and trust from the Haan than in the Fallen Kingdoms, but still...

Can I keep my Cheesemaker as a Cheesemaker? It's a fermented milk product that in our world has been around since probably 8,000 BC. If not, don't sweat it, I'll re-roll. :D

The Mongols had plenty of yaks, which produce milk, and make for a great cheese that can be chewed like gum. Check this out!
