Pulling out the sketched map, Fergurth points toward the area that looks as though it leads to the ocean. “I can scout ahead and see if any more of these fishmen await us before we get her back to the ocean.” She puts the map away and sneaks off in that direction.

Fergurth scouts ahead and the group makes it to the pool without incident. Lizret is extremely grateful for her rescue, healing, and return to the sea. She says, "As a token of my thanks please take this ring! It is enchanted and quite valuable. Anyone who attacks the wearer with metal weapons gets hurt too, but it kinda destroys anything metal you carry."

"The temple of Tentacle Beard was just ahead the way they were dragging me. If you decide to attack it, beware the storm demon that serves as it's guardian. I wish I could help more, but all I know." Lizret says, "Thank you again heroes! I hope we can meet again some day!"

And with that she dives into the water and swims out to sea.

Steelbane Ring:
If the wearer takes any injury from an iron or steel weapon, the wielder of that weapon suffers the same injury! However, any non-magical iron or steel weapon carried by the wielder degrades in quality by one step (e.g., from fine to good) every hour. Good weapons become cheap (+2 to breakage chances); cheap weapons rust away into dust! The ring is worth $10,500 ($500 without the enchantment).

He twirls Lizret's ring in his fingers and says, "Anyone want to try the ring on for the fight? If not, I will wear it since there is no way a minor magical ring would be able to degrade my weapon."

"I’ll go check out the temple."

Drakul skulked down the passage toward the temple.

Drakul sneaks ahead down the passage and sees two pairs of Fishmen guarding a set of giant bronze doors. Upon the doors is a design of a man with three heads, those of an octopus, a fish, and a human. The guards do not notice him.

Drakul returned to the group.

"Four guards at the door," he said. "Same fishfaced fodder. Fergurth, if you can sneak up there with me, you can stick two in the eyes while I come at the from behind. The rest of you guys just pop out into the hallway to get their attention. What do you guys think?"

Drakul snuck up to the foremost fishman, then charged forward at the last second, closing the distance, and then slicing at his neck.

Stealth: Success by 8.
Rapid Strike (Neck): 1 success.
Damage: 12 cutting to the neck.

Fergurth joins Drakul as they sneak round the corner. She gets into a good position and takes aim at the furthest fishmen. As the thief bolts through the shadows she releases two arrows straight for the abomination’s eyes. The excitement of battle gets the best of her as she reaches for two more arrows but can’t seem to string them as quickly as normal.

Drakul sprints at the Fishmen as fast and silent as possible, then Fergurth puts drops one of the Fishmen. They gawk for a second trying to figure out what happened, then Drakul cuts through the neck of another one. The Fishmen shriek an alarm and one faces off against the half ogre thief, closing the distance with it's spear while the other bangs on the door and starts to pull it open.

Hearing the shrieks, Brandaelfr charges around the corner as fast as he can. He shouts, "This battle shall be your last, abominations!"

“Since I cant see your eyes I guess I’ll remove your head” She mumbles as she fires two cutting arrows at the guard banging on the door.

Drakul closes in and slashes the throat of the fishman facing him. While the others charge to close the distance Fergurth shoots two arrows through the back of the last fishman's neck, killing it. Through the partially open door Drakul can see the Temple of Tentacle Beard.

There is a pool in the middle of the room and lashed to a beam suspended by a system of ropes and pullies is a badly beaten human male. Behind the pool is a 10’ tall statue of a naked man with a cruel expression and glittering black eyes. His beard is sculpted to resemble writhing tentacles, his hair is like seaweed, and he has webbed fingers and toes.

Posted around the pool were four more Fishmen who have turned toward the entryway with spears ready. Standing near the pool is a fifth fishman, his scales are colored differently and he is wearing a fancy cloak while wielding a staff. The cloaked one shouts on their disturbing slurpy language and points his followers on while charging his staff with lightning.

The room is High Sanctity for Evil and Low Sanctity for Good.

Brandaelfr approaches this room a bit more cautiously than the last fight. He moves just into striking distance with his polearm, and says simply, "Your evil ways will die here."

"I’ll go right," Drakul said as he moved into the room, passing on Fishman on his left and ending right up in the face of the furthest guard on the right.

Full Move into CC with Fishman on far right.

“I’ve got far left,” she replies to Drakul while unleashing two bolts at the eyes of the fishman.

Mog charges forward at the closest fishman on the right trying to cut his way through to the one in the back.

The delvers move in and square of with their fishy opponents. Fergurth kills one with a pair of well placed arrows while another dodges Mog's axe. Then the Fishmen lunge in with their spears (or in the case of Drakul's foe step back). Lastly, Chief Fishman launches a lightning bolt right at the party's thief.

Drakul stepped back and deflected the spear, then ducked under the Lightning bolt. He stepped back forward, slashing repeatedly at the fishman.

Barely batting aside the incoming thrust, Brandaelfr steps to the left and swings for the fishman's arm. He asks the fishman, "How much do you value your eyes?"
