[OOC] NPC's

NPC's List

The Doctor
A clean shaven Older Man from the oasis states with a cheerful disposition.. who's an obvious and unrepentant sadist, though he does so with an odd sense of scientific detachment and curiosity and optimism, hoping to gain dominion over pain and his own mortality. With Plaga's help, he's gained it. His cheerful demenor and clean white silk make many underestimate him, which is frequently fatal (or worse).

Key Skills: Torture, Medicine, Martial Arts

Kanua
A woman from Thousand Gods, she was a warrior devoted and empowered to her god until her kidnapping and enslavement. She fought in many gladiatorial battles. She was empowered by her god, however, eventually the power faded shortly before her battle with Marius. It didn't go well for her. Kanua is a stoic woman who enjoys settling things with her own strength. Mystics and supernatural forces are unknown and scary to her, things wielded by powers greater than humans, and that is the way it is. She accepted Plaga's offer without any real consideration - she's always worked for an unknowable god thing, and Plaga's offered a significantly better deal than the parasite god she served.

Argent
Laiser's former accountant, and a scholar. Argent was a slave-scholar, one of the many trusted servants of Vissio from one of the noble families, employed by some who were a little more Patrian in outlook. Of course, the families of Vissio were in a constant warfare, and his house suffered total and utter defeat. There was no chance they'd trust Argent - his line had served the old family for 3 generations - so they sold him on the open market. Argent was one of Laiser's first purchasses, as he very badly needed someone with knowledge of Vissio politics and royalty who could also handle his books (and knew enough to be an interesting conversationalist).
Allied: Scholar

Sarnai
A house servant, Sarnai is just short of her 20th year, though she passes for significantly younger due to her statue. Even though she was taken in her 14th year by Patrian forces, she is a skilled rider and skilled in outdoor survival (as are most of the Tobai). She is not particularly skilled at housework, but she was a decent cook and good in herb lore and knots. She is not very outspoken, though she's braver than most of the other servants, as she'd not been raised in capivity. It is likely that were she not so demure and slight of stature, she'd been used as a slave conscript rather than a household servant.

Sofina
Sofina is an aged slave, originally from Nezdohva. She spent most of her life working in factories and looms doing manual labour with her hands.. which eventually left her hands crippled and useless. She was sold for a few coppers to Laiser, where she has remained since. Her village was one of the few that had contact with the fair folk, and she knows a bit of the fey languages and had even seen a few of the unseelie. This is why she was willing to approach the Radiant Queen.

Caelus
Caelus is... was, a Patrian drill instructor, in fact, he was Marius's first form instructor, tasked with the unenviable task of beating the skill into and the idiocy out of Patrians to form them into a decent infantry. He was still an active duty soldier, and eventually he was captured by the Dublinai after losing his arm. He the next dozen or so years in a mining camp for slaves until his heart started to give out, and he was sold to Vissio, and then to Laiser's as a worshiper. While still possessed of some spirit, physically, he is broken, and those with even a basic understanding of medicine know that his heart is about to fail.

Laiser, Lord of Bargains
Laiser's background is unknown to you, but from the way he talked when pressed, he may be from considerably more humble origins than he passed on. He is a parasite god on a tiny rocky island that was once a fortress before the sundering - now it's a pile of rocks on the ocean, with only a few scrabbly patches of lorngrass and a lot of coral surrounding the island. You probably won't hear from him again.
