[Notices] "Soft" or RP Scenes

Sometimes, people just want to talk, or explore a city in a peaceful manner to flesh out the world or figure out what they want to do. Plus, in Godbound, you've frequently got months of downtime where you are running your cult/city. For this reason, I allow something called soft/rp scenes.

These are scenes where you explore a relatively safe area, or have a minor encounter with NPC's, or talk to another PC. These are allowed to go on as long as they need to while the plot heads forward.

Basically, it's
GM "You are all in your homebase city for a few weeks for dominion spending"
Player B) "I'm going to run a scene with my cultist dojo. Do you mind fleshing out a few NPC students? I'd like to work out what my dojo/temple is like.
Player A) "Ok. It's a soft scene"
Player B) "Can I join in on that? I have a strife too and it might be cool to offer a different philosophical perspective to your students."
Player A) "Sounds ok to me."
GM "Alright, but you can't fight or screw with the dojo significantly. It's a soft scene"

So while players A and B debate philosophy as long as they want while the party does it's dominion expenditures, and starts on their next quest.

In Soft/RP Scenes, you cannot use these scenes to gain any advantage during a scene that's going on at the time, and combat is hand waved. If a significant amount of time has passed since a soft scene started, I will also probably ban you doing anything that's going to mess up the game world, to avoid creating a time paradox.

That make sense?
