RTJ & Character Guidelines
RTJ & Character Guidlines

First and foremost, I'm asking for a post rate of 3 times a week.  If you cannot post three times a week, please do not apply.

Please answer the following when applying:

How long you've been gaming (tabletop, PbP, virtual table top, etc)?
How familiar are you with the PbtA system?
How familiar are you with the Monster of the Week game?
What is your favorite old (Pre-1960) monster movie(s)?
What is your favorite old (Pre-1960) movie(s) in general?
What is your favorite Monster of the Week TV series?
What type of Hunter are you looking to play?

In addition to the above, please provide a short sample of your writing style.

All the basic Hunter archetypes are available as characters, with some obvious changes required due to the time period.  All characters will be an agent of one of the departments of Majestic 12, as detailed in the Atomic Age setting post.  The characters background will undoubtedly determine which one.

As giving away your True Name may be lethal or worse, all characters will be known by a code name beginning with Mr./Mrs./Ms./Dr. with a fictitious surname.  The names of the department heads in the Background are good examples.

If the archetype calls for armor as a part of Gear in its description, you have the option of declaring it Departmental Issue.  It is a normal looking business suit made from enchanted materials giving the character 1 Armor, magic.

The Hunter playbooks can be found here:

This is from my RTJ when I applied to another game:

The place smelled of stale beer and old, dried blood.  Save for a few hardscrabble winos who had turned drunkenness into a 9 to 5 job, the little tavern was occupied by a dozen hard men.  The patches on the backs of their jackets depicted a leering skeleton in a jester's motley, the rockers above and below labeling them Death's Jesters MC.  The gang fell silent as the door swung open and the stranger's boots hit the worn wooden floor.
