I think this game has issues but I still want to play, but a sandbox approach might be better.

I too, would like to play as well.  Given the circumstances though, perhaps we need a recap and a reconsideration of how to approach this scenario.  Also we should verify who is and is not among our players now I believe.  I think we still have at least Aalamar, myself and Julie.  Anyone else?

So it’s been some time and thanks to covid and other world events it been a crazy ride.

It will be a relaxed posting of twice per week if we do.

I could do with something, but I would rather it not be starting over, just pick a destination for the ship that works and pull everyone into whatever that is.

Sounds good.  Assuming Andilo isn't one of the few people who came back/stuck around I can just have my contract swapped over to any non telepath on the ship, or a new one.  I assume we are going to need to at least try for another round of recruiting, and probably adjust the cast list so only the at least semi active people show up on it?

I have a few NPCs I can run more and fade out those that are not needed at this time.

Anyone that doesn't no come back, we can work around the storylines.

I think it is almost always better to adjust the story/players when possible rather than using NPCs to try and fill key roles.  There is already a lot of work for the GM to do, and building PC interaction tends to keep people interested in posting.

If that means we reorganize what we have that works, but I suspect getting some new blood in wouldn't hurt.

In this game I will have to say your right. I will simply phase out all PCs that are not active and keep only the main NPCs for storyline.

This is a written module with some twiks to place it at a later timeline. This we we don't mess with cannon.

let see if I can read all the material and be ready for next week to post.

Once we get that first few post rolling and back in the game i will remove those not active and make a request for players.

I think those of us still here have proven that there is no need to rush things, but do let us know if there is anything we can do to help, adjust our own stories to fit a new paradigm, or make different IC connections for whatever change in the story you need.

I started from day 1 and just finished a few threads on the background of the module and my notes. It's all there expect the crazy plot twists I added the good thing is that I write notes as we go. the hard part is like a giant puzzle between many threads.

It will all come back. Maybe I can convince the wife to do another B5 marathon to get me in the mind set LOL.

I haven't bothered to track it down or watch it yet but in theory there is a new HD version of Babylon 5 completely redone from the original footage.

I would only he interested if they made digital download for a service like vudu.
That way I can watch it anywhere, I'm old and I like my collection.

I don't know if they have ownership rather than subscription options but they are part of the HBO streaming library.  You could probably get most of the series into a 7 day free trial if you are into binge watching.

We just finished The Americans and are now watching Boardwalk Empire

We did the whole service once already in 2020, when I is started this game. Maybe I can get her to do it again ? Waiting for the weekend - take her out and see if we can do B5 after Boardwalk :) lmao

Plus she likes B5 I think she will say yes, I know she has been searching for the complete set of Gotham in digital and Bluray so once she figures out the best deal that will be the next marathon for sure.

Can not find season 5 on digital yet, not sure if they made it on all platforms.

I could never make myself finish The Americans.  To many characters making stupid mistakes to move the plot forward for my taste.  Boardwalk Empire was good, Gotham better I think, but none of them are B5.

I have always liked every version of Dune I have found, but I am very heavily setting biased in how I assess quality, so changing out a bit of dialog, even some plot elements, never bothered me as long as the world is still interesting.
