"It might but I don't like you." Fenris's eyes narrow on the dwarf for some unknown reason. He tries to hold back something and turns to Krite. A dwarf and a mage at his wedding? Strike me down....but its their day. Might as well make the best of it "Play something with elven intent." He tries hard to be polite. Sort of.

"Beg pardon, you two know each other?"

Forge scratches his chin
The notion of racial anomosity not something he has encountered in his new life, he assumes it must be a grudge between the two of them...

One hell of a welcome from the groom! The dwarf stares at him and goes back to his seat, pushing the spellthief and wizard aside. He starts to blow upon his bagpipes and does a decent job but Fenris stares at him. His hands ball up but when he goes to say something a hand grabs his hand. He looks down at a young girl, probably a flower girl smiles before moving off. Dwarf has good luck.

"Doesn't seem like they know each other, Forge, and it also seems like a topic of conversation that we should avoid for now. Best to let the wedding proceed as planned," Riceak commented while keeping an eye out for the bride's entrance so that he can return to his seat.

The band begins to play as the priestess enters. She smiles at Fenris and motions for him to go to the door. Quickly and quietly, she goes to the main alter, crossing her hands over it. A few clerics walk in, seeming to be in unison. One of which goes to take the barbarians arm and she nods her head before the two of them join the priestess. The elf druid goes over to a harp and when the music ends, he starts anew.

Soon Cumarinda enters dressed in a beautiful gown, her face covered in a veil. At her side is a elderly gentleman. He gently pats her arm, holding it lightly. Fenris's eyes go wide as he sees the cleric and the man. Slowly they get up to the alter and the priestess raises her hand as if for everyone to sit.

Having picked a spot ahead of time that would allow him to see despite his stature, Krite sits and watches the happy occasion. (Though he does wonder if Fenris is capable of that particular emotion.) He gently pulls on the braid that goes down the side of his face, a content look on his features.

As she approached the altar, Cumarinda used her free hand to wave at everyone around. At the altar, she bowed briefly to the Priestess and then nodded to Fenris.

A light, joyous giggle slipped out from under her veil before the Priestess could speak.

The priestess raises her hand up and the music ceases. And th dwarf grumbles. Fenris watches him for a moment and turns to the cleric. He actually smiles at her, something he hasn't done in quite awhile. The whole barbarian thing. Lars nods to Fenris, placing his hands upon Cumarinda. And the priestess tilts her head "Do you have..." Lars pulls out two rings and winks at the barbarian placing one in his free hand and the other in the clerics free hand. He steps back, bows and sits down in the front row. Fenris looks shocked for a moment and waits.

A small chuckle and she nods "Vestale. Cumarinda do you wish to take Fenris's hand, his heart and soul as one? From life to death, sickeness and pain, hardships and suffering from this day to your last breath? To have and to hold, love and to cherish forevermore? Melese and melin, love, dear and beloved. 'Ni méla tye, Fenris'? Taking this ring you pledge to one another." She goes to wrap her hand holding the barbarians in a white cloth.

In reply to Dungeon Master (msg # 31):

Cumarinda eagerly nods, “Yes, yes I do. I give my hand, my heart, and my troth to this one, my beloved Fenris.” she vows while looking into his eyes, her lips parted in a jubilant smile, her voice soft but loud enough to be heard throughout the crowd. With the last of her words she places her hand in those of the High Priestess.

Krite's gem-colored eyes are bright and sparkling, and he has a satisfied little half-smile on his lips. A single tear rolls down his cheek, and he lets it fall, uncaring about something as unimportant as a tear compared to an event like this. "Blessings to you both as you walk the world together," he murmurs under his breath, not wanting to interfere in the ceremony.

Forge finds the whole thing delightful even though the idea seems a bit odd to him, the two of them seem to have challenges to be one the same page, but they seem to be willing to make things go....

He scratches his chin as the image of two metals going into a crucible enters his mind, the metal is then heated and combined and the impurities and slag is removed, leaving the combined result better then the materials going in......

She goes to wrap her hand holding the clerics hans in a white cloth while placing it upon Fenris.

The barbarian looks down at his hand and looks up at the cleric "Aegisess with you always. To be her Dalsein, always. Everantha." His voice is calm and he ponders what he states, knowing what the words are and not sure if she understands.

The priestess puts the rings on Fenris hand and he places it upon the clerics. His hand twitches nervously.

"By the power invested within me and upon the power of Pelor and of Bahumat, you are now together, wedded. Lars has witness this as well as everyone within this garden. Now you may kiss the bride, Fenris." She smiles pulls her hands away from them and the white cloth seem to merge to the barbarian and clerics hands. She waits.

Fenris looks at everyone, not sure of what to do-its a private thing. But he puts his gruff hand to her chin and leans in for the kiss.

Everyone claps their hands several times and the druid sits down, and starts to play with the dworf and the band in unison.

Forge continues to enjoy the music and festivities as they unfold.  He is not sure if there is more to come or not, he had asked about weddings and had  got conflicting reports on what is going to happen, things about flying flowers and undergarments and continued celebration......

He rocks his head from side to side in time  with the music....

In reply to Dungeon Master (msg # 36):

Cumarinda leans into the kiss, starting off tenderly while slowly sliding her arms around Fenris' body. Once she is completely holding him in her embrace, she kisses him passionately.

When their lips finally part, she whispers, "Ai Armiel Telere Maenen Hir, Fenris." Speaking aloud she says, "By Father Sun and the Benevolent Dragon Lord we have pledged to one another, speaking the truth and love inside our hearts. For all who have helped us, we thank you. To our guests and witnesses, we thank you!" with a beaming grin and a soft glow, she kisses Fenris once more.

Everyone seems happy. But not the dwarf. He grumbles, grabs his gear and walks out of the garden. The barbarian and cleric start to dance for a few moments, and Fenris holds her close. as if to protect her-even here of all places. The druid keeps playing. After a time, some others start to dance as well and the party begins. Some people offer the group drinks. Its hard to tell if they are alchoholic but probably not. Hard to tell. Even the warforged is offered drinks-probably oil. Lars watches for a moment, crossing his arms. For the first time he's actually smiling. The priestess stands next to him with two others-probably guards. Some of the guards stands at the entrance. Even they seems happy.

The blissful scene is very warming to the furnace within the warforged as he watches them...it is in that moment of ideal perfection that something very old from his half forgotten past makes him remember this would be the moment of a possible attack....

He pulls his shield into place, it being painted with lovely flowers....but his eyes scan the doors for any danger.....

Krite was just about to approach Lars to start a conversation with him — curious who he is, mostly — when he sees Forge go on guard. He looks around carefully, trying to decide if Fenris would consider the gnome casting detect magic (or any spell) a hostile action.

Cumarinda is blissfully happy. She is totally joyful. She is laughing, dancing, and even drinking much more than most people have ever seen her. While she is eager to share her joy with everyone in attendance, the greatest part of her attention goes to her new husband.
She all but refuses to keep her hands off of him. While she's not being lewdly demonstrative, she is keeping at least two limbs attached to Fenris during most of the post wedding celebration.

Only when she and Fenris are preparing to leave for their private wedding night does she part from him to say good night to all in attendance. Before she leaves with Fenris, she does make sure to at least say 'Good Night' to everyone there individually, with firm hugs for Valora and Lars.

"Do you have need of a sentinel to stand guard outside, for you this night?"

Assuming she declines....

"Then I shall watch over the small ones until you return."
