Temple of Pelor: Garden

https://marrymetampabay.com/wp...ads/2021/03/14-2.jpg

The garden seems to have turned into a simple area to a marvelous gathering area for the bride and groom as well as their guests and servents of Pelor. Its definatly magically done. Standing nearbye is a elf, probably a druid. A older man, course probably older then anyone here. A bit of magic here comes from him-flowers mainly. He seems intent on what he is doing, adding some elven flair and seeming to combine a human wedding with a elven one.

Mystyn the bard sits along the sidenlines, adjust his bagpipes. Two humans stand there, looking like backup singers and musicians. They both have flutes as well and seem to be preparing.

The warforged looks amazing. All cleaned up and standing near the door.

Dressed in formal garb is the spellthief and mage near the front. Most of the Pelorians are dressed nicely and are sitting down. Everyone seems to be relaxed.

But where is the groom and bride?

Forge takes it all in, the ribbons wrapped around his sheathes seems the perfect compliment, he has painted his shield for the occasion; a brilliant sun to shine upon the union, he leaves it more artistic and less of just the symbol of Pelor...

He likes his post near the door so he can see and hear everyone as the guests murmur amongst themselves waiting for the music to start....he knows the song for the appearance of the bride will be the signal for the guests to stand, it was considerate of them to leave him in the less confusing role of just standing.....

Krite sighs happily and says, "I do love a wedding, Riceak. It's the promise not only of two lives bonded together as one, but the promise of a future when you figure in the possibility of children."

Gnomish wedding rites -- especially for gnomes like him and Tesh who come from Zilargo -- are very different from those of the other races, and he's always curious to see the details of other weddings. This one's being presided over by a human Pelorian for another human and an elf, so he wonders what it'll be like.

Feeling honored to have been asked to play at such a joyous occasion, Mystyn began to play a soothing romantic melody. All the while he watched for the signal to switch to a more traditional wedding procession. So much ugly in this world, it be a pleasure to be a part of something positive, thought the Dwarven bard to himself.

Yet still no bride or groom. It seems rather odd but no one seems bothered by it. Its their day, what evil thing or things could happen within the temple? Oh wait something did.

Lovely.

Anyways! The bard plays his bagpipes getting applauded by everyone. Yet nothing is thrown at him, given to him....what gives? Maybe he will get paid afterwards!

Krite scratches his head. "Well, it's my experience that there is some time taken for the bride and groom to be as well-dressed as possible," he explains. "Beautiful clothes, makeup, hair styling, and the like, I mean. They didn't have me scribe invitations -- those usually have an expected time to show up, for the ceremony itself, and then the party afterward -- so I really don't know what the intention is."

He looks up at the big warforged. "Do you ask because you're becoming impatient? Or just because you were curious?" Krite would like to get a better feel for the semi-mechanical intelligence inside the armor, just so he knows whether to rely on him in different circumstances. "For that matter, Forge my friend, how long have you been in operation? Gnomes live longer than humans, so I am, for example, a respectable threescore and eight years old."

Krite smiles at Fenris as he approaches, bowing respectfully to him without breaking eye contact. It’s a gnomish way of showing respect for a potential ally - or enemy. “Greetings, Fenris, on this joyful day. I wish you and your bride all the best of things,” the gnome wizard says. “Since it seems we are going to travel and fight together, I also hope that we may someday become friends. Too soon for that, I know, but still to be hoped for.” Krite fights the urge to hold his breath, hoping he didn’t cross some barbaric tribal taboo by offering friendship, or at least, the possibility of friendship.

The band begins to play as the priestess enters. She smiles at Fenris and motions for him to go to the door. Quickly and quietly, she goes to the main alter, crossing her hands over it. A few clerics walk in, seeming to be in unison. One of which goes to take the barbarians arm and she nods her head before the two of them join the priestess. The elf druid goes over to a harp and when the music ends, he starts anew.

Soon Cumarinda enters dressed in a beautiful gown, her face covered in a veil. At her side is a elderly gentleman. He gently pats her arm, holding it lightly. Fenris's eyes go wide as he sees the cleric and the man. Slowly they get up to the alter and the priestess raises her hand as if for everyone to sit.

He actually smiles at her, something he hasn't done in quite awhile. The whole barbarian thing. Lars nods to Fenris, placing his hands upon Cumarinda. And the priestess tilts her head "Do you have..." Lars pulls out two rings and winks at the barbarian placing one in his free hand and the other in the clerics free hand. He steps back, bows and sits down in the front row. Fenris looks shocked for a moment and waits.

A small chuckle and she nods "Vestale. Cumarinda do you wish to take Fenris's hand, his heart and soul as one? From life to death, sickeness and pain, hardships and suffering from this day to your last breath? To have and to hold, love and to cherish forevermore? Melese and melin, love, dear and beloved. 'Ni méla tye, Fenris'? Taking this ring you pledge to one another." She goes to wrap her hand holding the barbarians in a white cloth.

The barbarian looks down at his hand and looks up at the cleric "Aegisess with you always. To be her Dalsein, always. Everantha." His voice is calm and he ponders what he states, knowing what the words are and not sure if she understands.

The priestess puts the rings on Fenris hand and he places it upon the clerics. His hand twitches nervously.

"By the power invested within me and upon the power of Pelor and of Bahumat, you are now together, wedded. Lars has witness this as well as everyone within this garden. Now you may kiss the bride, Fenris." She smiles pulls her hands away from them and the white cloth seem to merge to the barbarian and clerics hands. She waits.

Fenris looks at everyone, not sure of what to do-its a private thing. But he puts his gruff hand to her chin and leans in for the kiss.

Everyone claps their hands several times and the druid sits down, and starts to play with the dworf and the band in unison.

Cumarinda is blissfully happy. She is totally joyful. She is laughing, dancing, and even drinking much more than most people have ever seen her. While she is eager to share her joy with everyone in attendance, the greatest part of her attention goes to her new husband.
She all but refuses to keep her hands off of him. While she's not being lewdly demonstrative, she is keeping at least two limbs attached to Fenris during most of the post wedding celebration.

Only when she and Fenris are preparing to leave for their private wedding night does she part from him to say good night to all in attendance. Before she leaves with Fenris, she does make sure to at least say 'Good Night' to everyone there individually, with firm hugs for Valora and Lars.
