Re: (IC) The Village of Korthos

With the warforged probably busy, the druid slips into the tavern. The cloaked form sits down in a table and asks for water. The keep raises his brow and the druid ponders for a moment, then askes for tea as well. Instead of arguing with him, he grumbles and goes into the backroom. The man stares at the table, crossing his hands. He keeps his face hidden, just looking like some odd passerbye. Occasionally he glances around the room then back to the table.

Cumarinda replies to Zhera, "I have yet to be graced with knowledge of the future, yet I can surely say that you'll be safe here in the village." She pauses and looks thoughtfully into her drink before looking back at Zhera, "I'm sorry if I seem to be asking too many personal questions. But I must admit a growing curiosity, especially given you've avoided answering most of my questions. If I am being rude, please say so, and I'll stop."

Re: (IC) The Village of Korthos

She looks at her eyes, looking for something. Then looked away and just let a tired breath out. "No, its not that you are rude, its just the oppose of that.  Not... many ask about that. And its not without good reason most of the time." She looked at her with tired eyes. "But for me its more bring the fire first ask the questions later most of the time. I.. wasnt alone at the cave. Well, at first I wasnt alone. I will leave it at: It was easy to just leave me there." She pauses to take a long drink of her ale.

"There you have it. My wandering luck brought me here. As for what I want, right this moment, dont have to worry about people looks, eat my fill, maybe sleep on a bed till noon. After that? Sell a few things, maybe even find a great adventure." She finished with a flowrish, only marred by the self self-deprecating laugh at the end. She looked down with shame. "Sorry, just... needed to vent, you know?"

The Priestess of Pelor regarded Zhera with a sympathetic look. "Oh, I see. Unfortunately, fearing what you don't understand is a common survival trait among many people. The worse are those who use others misfortunes only to advance themselves." She paused briefly to gently pat Zhera on the shoulder, "If you don't cause any problems, keep good company and are generally friendly. I think you can get everything you're looking for. But the innkeeper here will probably expect to you to pay for your room and food. Can you afford that?"

The keep walks by the cleric and rogue and having heard of the rogue paying, the keep grumbles "Yer friends with the cleric? On the house lest for now." He walks over to the table with the tea and some bread. After eating his meal, the man stands up and, walks over to the keep tp pay him and stops, staring at Cumandria. He lowers his hood and glances at the tiefling before walking out. Odd man.

She was about to answer when the keep made his rounds. "Thank... you?..." For some reason she started looking around before remembering the priestess. "Ah? yes, yes. I have some on me." She started uncertain. "Its this place always like this?"

She promised herself to find the keep later, ask for someone that can buy a few of her works and give her a tip.

Cumarinda nods quietly and adds, "Now you'll definitely be able to rest awhile. Ballast and I are going to offer our help for any other problems that might have arisen. If there's no further need for our help, I think it will be time to take the next boat to Stormreach."

Cumarinda looks curiously at the retreating figure of the hooded man who once had his eyes on her. Making a mental note to herself to keep him in mind, she turns her attention back to their new acquaintance.

"Ballast could you look after Zhera until I get back? I'm going to visit the alchemist and see how's he doing with the shrine's holy symbol. Zhera, Ballast should be able to look after you until I get back."
she said before excusing herself to run the errand.

ALCHEMIST SHOP:
The cleric hurries over to the shop. Inside, she finds the owner dealing with two clients and it looks like he has more supplies. He signs something and the clients head out, nodding their heads to the cleric. The man takes a deep breath and sits down looking at his store "Never thought I would have more supplies. I thought I was going to go broke or at least have enough for my family with little in return." He turns towards her and jumps up "I heard you left to go to the Peak. Glad your alive. Oh yes I know why your here." He goes into the backroom, and comes out with the newley painted and shined symbol of Pelor "I had to adjust it but I think this will suffice no? Oh I forgot. Are you leaving to go to Stormreach?"

MAIN SQUARE:
Faolan seems to be leaving, nodding to the warforged. Seems like this place is bustling more with activity. Several shipmates and taking crates off the ship and some are putting more on-mainly food. The mayor seems to be content. Some people are at the smith, probably tracding their ways. Two more walk out of the alchemist and head for the ship. It seems like this is slowly becoming a blossoming town-not too busy but nice and content.

Cumarinda waits patiently and nods smiling at the clients as they leave. She listens to the alchemist and smiles in sympathy with his appreciation of the new supplies. "May Pelor bless you and your family, Thank You! This will surely glow with the Sun Father's warmth on all those who pray at our shrine!" she exults, while giving the alchemist an impromptu hug.

Ending the impulsive hug with a smile, she replies warmly, "Yes, I think so. Unless there are other troubles I can help with, I think Ballast and I will go to Stormreach. Are there any recommendations you can make for the trip or when we arrive. Or maybe there's something you need delivered?"

ALCHEMIST SHOP:
"Never been to Stormreach unfortunatly. This has been my home for a long time." The shopkeeper seems to be rather surprised and taken back by the hug. He steps back and adjust his shirt "Not the best but I got something for you. Let me see...." He goes into the backroom and comes back with four potions and a bag that has some weight "So, I got some potions. There's two of them here good for curing wounds. One is good for healing up the warforged? Took me awhile to figure it out. Indeed I did. The last two took a bit but since made them before...well yes. This one will make you go invisible and this will bless your weapons." He holds up the bag "Not much but could come in handy. I'm a businessmen after all, can't have me just throwing it aside eh? I didn't want to part with the invisibility but..." He sighs "Take it. Least I can do."

OOC
1 Potion of Repair Light Wounds
1 Potion of Invisibility
1 Potion of Bless Weapon
1 Potion of Cure Light Wounds
20 Gold

MAIN SQUARE:
The odd man gets onto the ship. Ballest continues to work, helping out here and there. Some people leave the small amount of shops-nothing from the Alchemist though. And some of the shipmates go to the inn, probably for ale. The tiefling wanders around.

At first, Cumarinda simply stares at the proffered bag of potions, surprise and gratitude clearly evident in her expression. She briefly stutters,  “T..T..Thank you!” Before her eyes brighten and her smile grows wide. “Thank you so very much! I promise that these gifts will be used to help people and I will never forget your generosity!” After happily accepting the bag and potions, she blesses both the alchemist and his shop before leaving.

Before returning to the inn, Cumarinda will attempt to visit all the open shops, offering blessings and letting them know of her plans to visit Stormreach. With a warm smile and a hug she will also listen to their stories, complaints, and any requests they might have. The cleric will eagerly offer to help with any work they might have during her visit and will happily accept anything they may offer, whether tangible items or advice.

Any children she meets will be wholeheartedly be greeted with a smile, a hug, and a simple blessing, as well as played with if circumstances allow.

Re: (IC) The Village of Korthos

All the villagers have never left Korthos, as they haven't had a reason nor a way to venture out into the seas. Most know of Stormreach but have little information on it. The bakery gives some food for the travels-all baked good. And the tavern gives enough food to make up for it for at least a week so it is not a issue.

The cloaked form sits by the ship, staring up at it. And the guards do allow the wolf inside-bigger then most but in exchanged he must have a leash and a muzzle. Its hard to tell what changed their minds. The wolf sits down by the cloaked one side. He pats it lightly as they both stare at the ship.

A few people rush about here and there. They steer clear of the massive wolf, the kids pointing at it. Ballast watches the odd pair but since they are doing no harm, he helps out at the smith.

Before returning to the inn, the priestess of Pelor will speak with the owner of the tomb and the guards assigned to the storeroom offering to lend further assistance. She will mention to the guards that she is planning to go to Stormreach, and she'll ask what they might know about the ship that is in harbor.

Given that the guards tend to be helpful, Cumarinda will take their advice and go to meet the captain of the ship.

Re: (IC) The Village of Korthos

Once finished with her food she ended up in a pensive mood. Looking at the hat on her hand she wondered again what to do. She felt weary at the moment, but it looked like she would need some money. Tired, she made her way to the barkeep asking for directions for a place to sell a few of her things. Before leaving the tavern she put her archers had covering her horns as she made her way.

Re: (IC) The Village of Korthos

A light brown colored mare adorned with saddle and bit and bridle plodded along the road.  A rider in the saddle let the horse do the navigating for a bit, the path easy to follow as they had made the journey well enough times.  He only bothered correcting when she tried to go nibble on the local flora off the road a few times. The rider stretched and rolled his neck blinking a few times as he took a break from reading from the leather bound book he had in his hands.

The rider, Hekkir, an elf from the long pointed ears visible under his wide brimmed hat patted the horse's neck.  "Almost there Mulma we'll get you some more oats and I'll get some vegetables for...  I'm thinking a turnip stew.  What do you think of that?"  He smiled as one of the horse's ears twitched.  She never answered of course being a horse, but often it seemed she was listening which was good enough for him.  To a point.

Part of the reason Hekkir was heading to town was for supplies, the rest was because he was just wanting some semblance of conversation with someone other than himself or his horse.  He knew he was a bit of a shut in living out of the village like he did, but he liked the relative silence when he was studying his trade.  Sliding the well worn book into the pouch at his side, he closed and latched the bag as he neared the town.  He put a smile on his young looking face as he entered the village and made his way to the market.

Re: (IC) The Village of Korthos

The guards allow him into Korthos, some perhaps knowing the man but knowing the wizard keeps to himself. As he arrives, several people are putting their wares on the ship but its well known getting a ship to Korthos is easier said then done with the past dragon attacking them. But everyone seems to be at ease. Oddly a warforged is helping out-something new and strange. It seems to be rather busy and the ship captain is ordering people around. The mayor is nowhere to be seen-perhaps in his home. Near the ship is a man, hood up and oddly has a rather large wolf by his side. He is heading up the platform to the ship. Cumandria seems to be heading to the ship as well as Zhera.

Re: (IC) The Village of Korthos

"A curious happening today..."  Hekkir muttered to mostly himself, though he was still close to his horse as well as he watched the ship being loaded.  His eyes focused on the warforged of course, as those were relatively rare to see.  The man with a huge wolf was the next thing he saw.  Before he knew what was happening, the elf found himself walking over towards the ship.  Once he got to the bottom of the ramp he raised a hand calling out to anyone he could try to gain the attention of at the moment.  Whether that be someone on board already or someone who may be trying to board right now.  "Hail and Hello!  I'm sorry to bother you, but can someone tell me what is all the rush is about?"

In reply to Hekkir Jumlar (msg # 735):

Just after Hekkir's hail to the ship, a tan skinned, red haired, brown eyed human woman with the robes and holy symbol marking her as a cleric of Pelor, looked the elf in the eyes and replied with a smile and a polite bow, "Hello! It's no bother at all. In answer to your question, this ship is preparing to leave for ports elsewhere." Pausing briefly, she gave him an appraising look before meeting him eye-to-eye again and continuing, "I am Cumarinda Imbrex, healer, cook, and Priestess of the God Pelor, The Sun Father. Who are you?"

With a matching smile, the vivacious human priestess nodded to the elven mage. "Well, Magician Jumlar, yes you may ask where I'm going...if you provide me with your preferred choice of address." Briefly fingering her wooden holy symbol with her left hand she jauntily rests her right hand on her hip.

"ALL ABOARD! STORMHAVEN! ALL ABOARD! STORMHAVE!" The voice booms out from a horn on the ship. Ballest grabs his gear, thanking the blacksmith before moving towards the ship. The druid waits near the landing platform, checking his gear. A growl comes from the wolf and a bark as it waits on Faolan. His eyes dart from one person to the next, perhaps trying to read them but hard to tell and his eyes fall upon the cleric for a moment.

One of the sailor packing a few items hear Hekkir and moves towards him, bowing his head "Sorry to interupt. A magican I heard? Like Lars?"

Seeing an elf pass put her on guard, but seeing him so normal looking confused her a little. Well, can't have it all in one day. Deciding to ignore him as he did she made her way towards the boat only to take a detour when she saw a familiar face close to a sailor. "Hey, Cumarinda, we meet again." She greeted the priest her backpack behind her. "Thanks for the other day. Really saved my bacon." An exaggeration for many but for her it was truer.
